Nothing is hard to get appart or remove The old bushings just pop out and the new ones pop in, then grease it, reassemble and if I were you get it welded, you're over thinking something very simple and straight forward.
another survivor nice man, I'm in the same boat as well, just got my 93 up and running after it sat in some hillbillies poll barn for 5 years with no drive train Or motor
I run redline in my Trans, do some quick research and see what the guy are running In you're type of trans as mine Is a turbo model and am not sure what is recommended for type of fluid in a non turbo trans... or if it really matters.
do the rebuild and you'll be very happy you did, longer slave rods are a bandaid fix with potential to cause more problems down the road. With the rebuilt assembly I'd also get it welded to ensure it doesn't go to crap again, leave the nut and washers off and weld the z arm right to the pedal...
Seems this issue is coming up a lot lately, I don't really post much because all of the answers you are looking for and that I was looking for can be found very quickly by using the search box. And it sounds like you're 20+ year old clutch pedal assembly will have to be rebuilt. My engagement...
Only thing that sucked for me was the alarm system the previous owner had installed was a mess and in the way, after I got the column out I went through the mess and un-installed the alarm, I also followed this thread the best I could ...
NO! It is not as bad as everyone says it is, you will have to remove the drivers seat "I'm 6'3" so I kinda had to, steering colum needs to come out, and the break booster needs to come off the car completely to get it out of the way, the clevises are easy to get appart, you'll need a 12 and a...
I literally rebuilt my clutch pedal assembly over the weekend , I took out the break master all the way to get the assembly out. When finished and re installed it took my clutch from engaging right off the floor to right in the middle, all my parts were purchased from exstreampsi, and was...
I've done a lot of searching the last two days on here, first I know the ugeo does not pair with ecmlink very well and there are better widebands out there for us to use.so my Q: I currently DO NOT have link, now I would like to hook this wideband up and I'm wondering how to go about doing so...
Bolts are not different from a 14b etc To a 16g if I remember correctly, also with theexperiences I've had with seized bolts I myself would replace them with new ones.
I have brad Penn 10-30 in my talon now anyone have any experience with that, previous owner of my motor was using brad penn so I stuck with what the motor was ran on.
I personally would take everything off and do a good Cleaning of the hub with a wire wheel also the caliper bracket to remove any rust, check the slide pins on the caliper and grease as needed, I'd also relieve the pressure by opening the bleeder on the caliper, that's where I would start.
I don't think giving it a spray with quality oil resistant and heat resistant paint would hurt, but I also don't think leaving it would be bad ither as its going to be full of oil.
Welcome to.the tundra world as well, I've got a 2010 rock warrior that is all set up from the previous owner, with tow mirrors and air bags, break controls etc. love my truck and congrats.
You're missing a lot but not enough to be worried about, a lot of fellas are doing part outs so I'd chat with them about what you need, do some searching with the obvious search function , and compile a list. And Yea talk with the bs mechanic that basterdized you're car and get back what you can
Just had the same thing as well... check you're alternator fuse, my car sat for a few years and when I hooked up the battery it blew the fuse, but I also had the alt hooked up wrong after I put the motor in the other day LOL
MN probably uses the most salt in the country on our roads :( lol if even a flake of snow hit's the road it's like snowmagedon happened and the salt/plow trucks are out in force. I've run my beater civic hatch for the last 2 years with snow tires and I'll never go threw winter without them...
