Long time no update to this vehicle. Still definitely a project on my list. Took my sweet time getting around to it. Life got busy between Job changes, getting engaged, Moving, and just general life that I think kills most peoples projects. Finally spent some time this summer getting the car in...
This car unfortunately got totaled and only got about 8k out of them. I still have them and they're about to go on my AWD spyder. Getting close to being able to run them again. Some of the best riding budget coilovers I've ever experienced.

Finally picked up a 2G Spyder worth AWD swapping. Been keeping my eyes peeled for a couple of years now. Managed to snag a ETS FMIC with it. Got to pulling a few things off the engine today as I was digging into its current state of affairs. Found ross pistons and some variety of forged rods and...

Parting ways with my Race Chassis. Purchased from Rix Racing earlier this year. Unfortunately making a career change and taking a decent pay cut. Had to make a decision to part ways with this project, or my other GSX and this seems like the more practical path for me to take. Please ask if any...
https://www.boostedfabrication.com/collections/1g-dsm/products/1g-solid-front-strut-barNothing for 2gs yet that I can see. Hopefully they come up with something that would be an amazing piece!
Very interested to know as well. I need to have a rocker welded in on the passenger side of my GSX and a couple small spots in other areas taken care of!
Running a set of Evo 8 Enkeis on my GSX currently. Looking at powdercoating a bronze color next Spring. I always dig black and gun metal, but also a sucker for bronze and golds.
Got some time to play with the GSX this past weekend. Finished installing my Drivers side Evo 8 Recaro (Bit of a pain as the OEM seat was stuck in the all the way back position.) Also made up my own set of door panels to suit my taste for the interior. I am very pleased with how they came out...
That might even be a stretch. Had to use a longer coupler to get it off the turbo a bit more and actually rotate the intake back from the J pipe and they are still full contact. Many 4 letter words and beer breaks occurred during this project!
T28 will prove to be a much simpler install as well! This was the first car I retained a stock Side mount and installed a J pipe and I have to say damn was that a tight fit!
Running a stock smic on my small 16G and its just fine. Especially for the power levels you're looking at. You could even look at a 14b with a 7 cm housing and get similar results.
100% agree with this. I understand the not wanting to molest option, so stick to bolt on primarily. A 16G with supporting mods is far from molested in my opinion. Just be sure to use quality parts and avoid ebay junk. Just installed a small 16G on one of my GSX's over the weekend and I'm very...
So my 95 GSX that was totaled in April actually had Blue Dash and some of the trim/panels. The carpet was also a blueish color for the OEM Carpet. At first I thought I was just losing my mind, but its like an off gray blue color. Doing a bit of research there is not much documentation on it, but...
I personally have some outdoor storage I rent off Santa Fe and Titan Rd. can fit two cars in a spot outdoors and runs $90/month. I've used a couple other places around town over time and have used https://www.stowit.com/ in the past!
That would be a great route to go! From reading and my understanding is the blow test is kind of a false positive in a lot of cases. We can't really produce boost pressure with our lungs so sure it may hold back when blowing into it, but under boost is a whole different beast. Personally I...
My recommendation would be to order and replace a PCV Valve with a new OEM one and reevaluate. If it still has an issue I'd look at the cap at that point. PCV valve change is good maintenance and theyre not super expensive either.
To go along with my above comment I'd verify that cap just isn't shot/torn seal, but If all that is in check I would start suspecting the PCV system. I recently had a PCV Valve fail that I still couln't blow through, but was still allowing boost pressure to enter the PCV system. This thread is a...
In many cases the best will be to clean it up thoroughly. Start the vehicle and check it to see if you can see where it might be coming from if need be operate the throttle at the throttle body. If you're still having a hard time tracing the exact source there is a diagnostic tool called trace...
Looks fantastic! I will say in regards to your finger take a trip to Home Depot, or Walmart and they have spray grips that give you a little trigger contraption to place on top of the spray paint can. It will make a night and day difference! Rattle canned an old 76' Chevy one night to make it...
Got a set of 1G side skirts complete with all pieces. Asking $175 obo. Willing to ship, but my experience is shipping will run $75 in lower 48 states. Located in Englewood, Co just south of Denver
That'll do the trick good luck with the project and take your time with how deep your going. Better to do it once right and be done than have to do it again later!
From a safety perspective get some jack stands under there. Save your car and save your life if that jack decides to fail. That will free up your jack to use. Personally to adjust engine around I put a 2x4 scrap on the pad of my jack and adjust the engine up and down to where be. Just be slow...
Personally use a slightly longer wrench that i have around to break them loose then a stubby ratcheting wrench to finish them. First time I did it sucked. Every time after that seemed easy as can be. Giving your engine a little hug and getting your arm under the throttle body side is doable...
Got a crazy idea last night to start tearing into my exhaust leak and some other concerns I've had. Always questioned the double clamp that the previous owner had on the upper radiator hose, but it didn't leak so didn't fiddle with it. Come to find the radiator is definitely shot. Great news is...
