Are you sure it's not an EGT sensor? Hard to tell from the distance of the picture, but typical EGT location, not typical for AFR.

It is illegal obviously, but to directly answer you, yes you can set you OBD readiness with ECUFlash. There is a ROM made for such, the thing is it will set all tests to ready, when there are some that are N/A for our vehicles.

Just throwing this in there about the earlier thought of the PCV system. When i checked mine it seemed perfectly fine but i still replaced it with the OEM PCV valve and it stopped smoking like a diesel after i did that.

Is the throttle position sensor the other sensor on the TB you were talking about? Is that new too and was it adjusted when put on or not. A mis adjusted one could mess with fuel consumption. I'd also check for leaks like he said. Do you feel like you lost any power or no? I

The throttle cable wasn't stretched at the cruise control box or anything lately? I remember being told if it gets tight or something like that it wouldn't work correctly. Not likely just a thought.

Throttle Position Sensor is another to keep in mind if you can't find what else is the cause. Commonly overlooked, but I'm pretty sure a bad/mis-adjusted one would throw a CEL that you don't have. Just a thought.
