Your profile says you have a 16g. When I was on a 16g I had both factory fans. I trimmed the driver side shroud and blades a little but still worked great. If you go aftermarket, I would just get one somewhat close to factory dimensions and wire it up to factory wiring.
It will be a project as the gs likely has the 420a motor, motor mounts are different and such. So it will take some fabbing. I'm not too familiar on which NA yrs and models came with the mitsu 2.4 motor. If its the 2.4 it will be a simple swap everything over affair...
Does your car cold start every time? just troubles with warm/hot starts? If you modulate the throttle for hot starts will it start and then stay running/idle after 30sec-60sec of throttle modulation?
No vehicle profile? what year is the car? you can cross reference the sensor part number and find one from another car at a junkyard (probably a Chrysler/dodge)

also of course can look on ebay... price is crazy, these things used to be like $25
Made a new oil return for hx35 yesterday, sweet. Get some groceries today (lots of frozen) and shifter bolt backed out of short shifter just as I was leaving the store. Wife brings some tools quick fix and I'm home groceries saved. She orders a burger and I say "I'm going to loctite that bolt...
Get your eyeballs on it so you know what you're actually dealing with or get some pics or something... I hate wiring as much as the next guy but I hate giving money away, you'd be surprised how much you can actually do.
Also remember as stated by NWHtanK, the 2ga knuckles provide a little less room on the inside for clearance vs the 2gb knuckles. I can grab a few pics after I get off work today if you would like since I am a 2ga like you...
17x9 with a 45 offset will likely not work. I run 17x9 +35 on my 95 and while I have not measured... I can tell you it's close at +35 but no rubbing, lowered a bit with no fender rolling. No pics on this computer but there are some in my build thread. I run 245/40/17.
That is the point of my post, gs is 420a and gst or gsx is 4g motor, if the guy isn't showing pictures then it might not be the car the you are thinking it is. And, the 4g came in dsm's throughout the entirety of it's production run... not just 97-99. All 2g cars with a 4g motor were turbo...
Be sure you know what you are interested it... 95 U.S. spec GS model was a 420a motor.. For 300 dollars dude just wants the car gone, don't expect any sort of effort from the seller. Shoot a 200 dollar offer and see what happens. Worst case, break even in scrap metal weight.
No binding would be plate snagging during or preventing movement, you need to retighten the stop screw ever so slightly. The stop screw is there to let the throttle body stay "open" or cracked ever so slightly. I normally screw in the throttle stop screw by hand and after making contact, give...
No worries, You know you need to swap spark plug firing order right? technically injectors too but not a must to get her fired upCAS wiring
https://www.roadraceengineering.com/1gcasin2g95-96M2.htmpost #2 has pic of firing order for 95-96 ecu...
Sounds like a voltage problem to me, I would check grounds (clean them up), clean up battery terminals (even if visibly looks ok) check starter wires etc...
I never got any harbor freight jack stands although I was tempted on a few occasions. All my jackstands are oldschool with pins and even then I still throw a wheel under the side. Actually just had my volvo on jackstands a few weeks ago and we had an earthquake hit. 6 point something. Even...
Amen Motto! Just tell her how you feel and why you want to keep it, just like you told us. It doesn't sound like it needs a lot to get it going. I still have my first car BTW and my wife hates it LOL. Some things mean more than money or "space". You will always think about the car if it's...
i will add, for a DIY type of guy these things are cheap to make power. If you cant wrench then, personally, I would recommend against a DSM of any year.
I don't believe there are any write ups on the swaps from what I remember. The only real benefit in my mind would be parts. Really not worth the effort. keep the GSX and buy an EVO
Any contact means replacement as stated above. Did this to an audi with a water pump that seized. Just replaced them all. when your in it that deep... it was cheaper to just get a set. But that's up to the shop since they are fronting the repair for their error.
It could be an ignition issue or NSS possibly. Not sure on the alarm aspect, i guess it depends on how the alarm works and is hooked up. I would check that out. What does it do when you turn the key?
Yes, you cant really "eye ball" it you can try moving the sensor either direction to get it to idle, then hit it with the timing light and set it properly to spec.. (5* before TDC)
