  1. After 90 oil housing problem

Dang, hook me up too! :D
  2. After 90 oil housing problem

It is probably just a bad sending unit if you are seeing oil pressure at the head. Get a new stock one or better yet, get a real oil pressure gauge so you can see the exact pressure you have.
  3. FRH intake manifold install photos? Let's see yours

What mounting bracket are you talking about?
  4. FRH intake manifold install photos? Let's see yours

Look at my profile to see my FRH. You can also PM me for a bunch more pics.
  5. Any good ET's on MAFT???

I ran an 11.5 @ 127 with a MAFT. I have the old 1.3xx version too. It works really well for me.
  6. "Spec" clutches?

Yeah, I looked on their site and saw the stage 4 and 5. What is the difference between stage 3 and stage 4 in terms of pedal pressure? How much power can the stage 4 handle. Also have you ever used the stage 5? Is it streetable, is the pedal super stiff? Thanks
  7. "Spec" clutches?

Hmmm, I was under the impression that the stage 2 was like the 2600, but the 2600 is rated right around 400 ft/lbs which seems very close to the stage 3. I was hoping the stage 3 was stronger than that because I need a clutch that can handle quite a bit more torque Does "spec" make a stronger...
  8. "Spec" clutches?

Anyone know how much power/torque the spec stage 3 can handle?
  9. wideband setups + dsmlink + logging setup?

Yup, DSMlink has gone 9's. Says so right on their website.
  10. wideband setups + dsmlink + logging setup?

A wideband is a great tool, but by no means absolutely neccessary. I ran 11's all last year on a logger, eprom chip and safc. If you just watch your timing advance and knock you can get a very nice tune. Obviously you can be more precise with a wbo2, but if your goals aren't too fast I don't see...
  11. Paddle shifter is almost ready!

Wow! I just read the whole thread on ATDSM. I must say, GREAT JOB! Never in my wildest dreams would I think there would be a paddle shifter available for a DSM. LOL. My hat off to Hugo for starting a project and actually completeing it. I can't wait for the release!
  12. Ported 1G intake mani = FRH, Venom, Magnus

I don't have any experience with the magnus or other manifold out there so I will not post my opinion of them. I think we are being a little harsh on the FRH though. I have one on my car and ran an 11.5 @ 121 on 21 psi with my 3052. At 25 psi I trapped a little over 127 mph with a terrible 1.8...
  13. Car Studdering at high boost between shifts

My car did the exact same thing. I thought it was something serious but it ended up being very simple. It was just way too rich in between shifts. Try leaning it out around 4500 - 5000 rpm, or wherever your shift point is. .94 seems very rich, I am usually .88 - .90. That should to the trick.
  14. Fan Jumper Switch

Thats exactly how it is hooked up. It even says on the vfaq page that it makes some cars a/c come on. Maybe my car is just strange. lol.
  15. Fan Jumper Switch

The other problem is that is also turns the a/c on if you still have it. I just did the vfaq way of the fan switch and indeed the a/c does come on along with the fans. I have been trying to think of others ways to get around this and I think your idea will work. Maybe it was just too obvious and...
  16. need flow sheet for forrester mani

I have the FRH manifold on my car. I have no flow numbers but I can tell you that it performs well on my car. I trapped 127 mph on a 3052 with it and it seems to pull very strong on the top end for me. I have always heard good things about the FRH. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
  17. Heat Shield Ideas

Just so you all know, the JM heat shield is NOT aluminum. They are made from stainless I believe. I have one and it is very nice. Better lookin than in the pics.
  18. Can the pocketlogger be used to adjust biss screw

No, pocketlogger cannot be used to adjust the biss screw. It is strictly a logging tool. I would pressure test your intake system for vacuum leaks and get a new biss o-ring. Then just adjust the biss by hand.
  19. Introducing the MMCd "offshoot" site.

Hi, nice work on the MMCD. I have always used the pocketlogger SW and am unfamiliar with the MMCD. Could you maybe list out what all the abbreviations mean. Most are obvious but there are a few i can't figure out. Thanks
  20. stripped turbo bolt holes!

Just a word of advice on FP 30 series turbos. They are stainless and apparently normal anti seize doesn't work too well. I had 3 of my bolts get stuck and actually break off. I called up FP and they told me to use 4 brand new OEM bolts and two 2g conical crush washers per bolt along with COPPER...
  21. Holset Turbos

98talonAWD, I have a hard time believing a turbo of that size will spool by 3700 on a stock bottom end. I mean people with 3065's are spooling early 4000 and they are full ball bearing turbos. Saying that a stroker will spool it up by 3000 rpm is a bit ridiculous as well. I am not flaming you or...
  22. ECMlink DSMLink v2 for 1g

Are there any drawbacks from running it on a palm? I don't have a laptop and don't intend to buy one. Can you do everything on a Palm that can be done with a laptop?
  23. charts with 3052 numbers

The numbers DSM put down are very impressive, but to those doubting the power capability of the FP3052, don't forget he is on a stock intake manifold and stock bottom end. Heck, maybe his head is stock too. I have run 126.5 mph on my 3052 at 25 psi and an unmolested head. This turbo is more than...
  24. Coil mounted on Forrester Intake?

:D HAHA, some cars can be sexy. Maybe I am just weird? LOL.
  25. Ignition Solutions Plasma Booster??

Yup, already have the chip. Thanks for the info ancover.
  26. Ignition Solutions Plasma Booster??

Yeah, that sounds good. I pretty much have everything right now except the turbo. I currently have a 3052, wanna hit tens then will go to a 3065. I was just curious about the little box because I have never heard of it before. I searched for a while and came up with nothing. If anyone out...
  27. Ignition Solutions Plasma Booster??

Not to sound like a dick, but I am well aware how good our stock ignition system is. Yes I plan on making over 500 whp (don't we all, lol). Currently I am running mid 11's at over 126 mph. I am thinking about a 3065 in the near future. I think I am coming to a point where my stock ignition isn't...
  28. Coil mounted on Forrester Intake?

LOL! Yeah it is pretty darn big. Thanks for the compliment.
  29. Coil mounted on Forrester Intake?

Check out my gallery for where I mounted mine. IMHO this is the cleanest and sexiest way to do it. And yes, the plug wires are the stock lenghths.
  30. Ignition Solutions Plasma Booster??

Has anyone evre used the Ignition Solutions Plasma Booster? You can check it out here:Ignition SolutionsI have heard that Curt Brown used it on his 9 second car and have read lots of magazine reviews on it that seem to like it. It seems to me like it is similar to a MSD-2 without all the...
  31. Which trans Are You running? Shep or TRE?

dustyduff, how do you like the dog box racing trans? I was looking at them but can't seem to find too many people using them. Anyone putting down good power and using a dog box racing trans? Their prices seem really good and thats good for a cheapy like me.LOL.
  32. 9 second 3065!!!

Great time! Makes me want a 3065 even more. How is that turbo on the street? I am debating getting rid of my 3052 in favor of the 65.
  33. ANY Big power with MAFT blow though

I have a 3" sensor in blow thru and I have run an 11.5 @ 124 mph. I like it and it works very well for me.
  34. walboro 255hp -8 line?

I just put -8 line on my car from the tank to the rail. I have a 255lph and it works fine. It can make as much pressure as I want it to. Good luck with your FP3065. I have the 3052 and love it.Ryan
  35. Weird Stutter under boost

The same thing happens to me when I am part throttle making a little boost. I have a Tial BOV and have not put a lighter spring in it yet to stop this though. But what I think is happening is that the BOV is fluttering and that is what is causing the jerkiness of the car. I know it is the BOV on...
  36. Finally ... FP3052 Dyno Results

Hey Vassil, nice numbers. I have almost the same exact setup as you except I have a stock head, FRH manifold and GM MAFT. I was wondering how much of an improvement you noticed with your ported and polished head. I am just wondering if that is holding me back at all. My best time so far with the...
  37. fp 3052 with results..soon.

My full FP3052 reviewThis is the review I did on the other board. My name is AWDTSI over there. Enjoy.
  38. fp 3052 with results..soon.

Despite my name I have a 91 Talon AWD. I ran an 11.58 @ 121 at 21 psi. I have pics of the turbo in my gallery if you want to see it. I haven't been able to turn the boost up recently because off some odd tuning issues I am having. Once I get them sorted and get my hands on a new trans I plan on...
  39. Low voltage and a squeaky belt

No I dont use defrost. I dont even have my a/c anymore. I have checked everything and cannot figure it out. Maybe I got a defective alternator.
  40. Low voltage and a squeaky belt

I am having a similar voltage drop problem. Except my voltage will randomly drop to about 11.5 volts, then shoot back to 13.8 for a couple minutes. Then the voltage will drop again. It is weird. Also my alternator is brand new and I have new 8 awg wire for the alt. and 4 awg for the battery. Has...
  41. normal voltmeter readings

If you battery is only reading 11.9 volts it may be bad. A fully charged good battery should read 12.6 - 12.7 volts. That is with the car turned off.
  42. FP3052 Pictures and impressions

I don't know what the fastest time is with the 3052. At 21 psi I ran an 11.58 @ 121 on my 3052. I am sure someone will post a 10 second slip sooner or later with this turbo. I would turn up the boost some more but I am confident my 126k tranny will break and I am flat broke.
  43. About to buy an FP30 have a few Q's

FP 3052 ReviewThis is a very nice review of the FP 3052. I personally own this turbo and would highly recommend it. You can read my personal review on the last page of the link.
  44. FP3052 Pictures and impressions

I start to see positive boost by 3k and full boost by about 3500 - 3600. And in case anyonw cares I went out and started tuning and turning the boost up. I set it to 20 psi and man it scared me all over again. It was awesome. I love this turbo. When I am driving on the highway and accelerate a...
  45. FP3052 Pictures and impressions

I recieved my turbo within 2 weeks also. It was polished and had a 2.5" elbow welded on. I just got my car back together and took it to the track. I was only at 16 psi and was taking it real easy out of the hole (1.9 - 2.0 60 foot) and shifting at 6500 rpm to get a feel for my new setup. I...
  46. $1500 for a tranny.... What would you get?

Shep is in southern ohio. But Michigan is on the border of Ohio so shep could easily be 2-4 hours away depending on where 99gstracer lives in Michigan.
  47. Vote on your favorite shortblock!!!

Anyone have experience with Jackson Auto Machine? There prices seem very good. I was just wondering about the quality of their work.
  48. Help Quick(Head Studs)

I torqued mine to 90 foot pounds in about 4 increments. Like 15-30-60-90.
  49. I think my engine siezed, but why?

Yup you guys were right. I dropped the pan and found tiny metal shivings all over the bottom. I guess I spun a rod bearing. Well at least I have a good excuse to upgrade to some Ross and Eagles. One more dumb question that I can't seem to find the answer to. Does the front case from Conicelli...
  50. I think my engine siezed, but why?

Ok so this morning I go and work on the car. I used a breaker bar on the crankshaft and it spins but is extremely hard to turn over. I took out the plugs and it is still very hard to turn over. So I am thinking maybe my alternator, water pump or oil pump seized. Nope they all rotate freely. So...
