Let me break this down for you: When your not getting spark on 2 cylinders, it most means 1 thing. Your cas sensor on top left side of the head (97-99) or under camgear (95-96). And your crank sensor, it sits on the timing side down the block on oil pump frontcase. Good luck and keep us updated.

I agree with dsmkauai. I had to do this way due to the fact the sensor somehow broke off while i was driving and i was three hours away from home and didnt want to do timing job on sideroad. But personally i would do timing again just to make sure everything is good.

I replaced a new alternator from the dealer, maximum 2 months it was bad. Had to wait little longer for another one. Also depends if oil spills on it, kills it faster. But, check the condition of the coilpack mostly from it, and if you can check the alternator also why not you know.
