no but it could brake it when you are dumping the clutch to launch. But just stepping on the gas no. if you have a stock clutch i wouldn't recommend launching with two step the OEM style clutches are not made to handle that type of abuse! your axles are not made to handle it ether. Upgrade...
Have you tested your fuel presser or fuel filter.
I had an Acura and when the fuel pump started to go it would do the same thing. I would have to floor it to get it to start and ran like shit. low A/F (lean) will make motor knock.
just my two cents.
good luck!
it is baller and it has an out put for narrow band so if you want to replace one of you o2's with a wideband you can connect it to you ecu to keep CEL from coming on or if you got a ecu to tune it has a out put for wideband the same as AEM for loging the wideband. The gauge is only 1 inch deep...
i just installed the PLX wideband gen.3 in my car it works great and was vary easy to install. It is the fastest wideband on the market. it has a tuch screen and also tells you the helth of you wideband. not a bad price for the part! o ya looks cool too! :thumb:PLX DM-6 SM-AFR | Wideband...
i have one of the roms but i need the Speed Density one also so if anyone has it please PM me! I will be happy to share the one i got too! I was going to buy the Speed Density one on Friday too!:ohdamn:this is a sad day for black box DSM owners!
:(
the first page of this post should help you!
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/evoscan-ecuflash-tuning/338754-first-flashed-dsm-ecu-98-99-flashing-faq.htmli have done this to my car if you need some extra help ask away!
you dont need DSMLink you have a 99 car and it has a black flashable ECU in it look at this site ---> ceddy.us and learn as much as you can! Ceddy works good!not all cars need flashed to run the BOV that you want. i have a 97 GST with a HKS one installed and works just fine. If you install...
ya happy turkey day to you too. a nice write up with pictures would make a world of difference. looks strait forward but the more the merrier. think i will do the same. have to do the water pump this weekend its sounds like the bearings are gone! if it even has them well it don't now lolol. well...
that do it your self inserts do look sweet cheaper too. i think this is a vary good idea i will look in to it some more. it also looks like a good way to fix ones that are starting to go bad.:applause:ya i don't really care about the noise #becauseracecar i got a BMW for quite driving!:D
i think for DD you should keep what you got. for the money your spending on the coilovers you could get a full gst to gsx conversion. that or put some goodies into the motor! looks to all the coilovers listed will be a stiff ride they are made for track and racing not riding.
you got some links to the ones your thinking about?me i like Ksport.but if i had to pick from your list i would say KW they make a very good coil-over!we put them on a lot of Porsche's at my work that get a lot of track time.
this part was unplugged on my car when i got it. there is a speed censer on the trans just under the TB make sure its plugged in. if it is might want to look into replacing it. it has a plastic gear that runs it and goes bad.
Megan Racing 2.5" Downpipe Eagle Talon TSi 95-99I work there i don't know if we got on in stock but we can def order if for you! I got one on my car and i love it. I have the full Megan from turbo back w/o cat. i like the sound too. just my two cents. mine is strait from Megan not ebay.
i don't thin i have ever herd of someone watching there manual trans temp. if you car is running at running temp (warmed up) shouldn't need to worry about it. Is there even a place to put the censer on the trans? if you don't have one for the oil that's where i would put it. Water temp, oil temp...
maybe your cruise control module is bad now. did it work before the swap? maybe got unplugged? looks like you can get one off Ebay for $25 bet the you could get one for way less at a you pull it yard.i would make sure its plugged in then disconnect the battery unplug check the connection...
my car when i first got it, it had a starting problem it had an aftermarket alarm. it made all kinds of electrical problems tried a ton of stuff to make it work right. nothing worked but when i removed the alarm and wiring car worked like new. one thing i did see when doing this is the people...
95-99 2G Eclipse Technical Manuali know it may be hard to torque but if the manual says to do it, it should be done. you don't want those bolts coming out. if that happens you will be hating life a lot more the you are right now.that manual should have all the info you need to do the...
yep "flywheel attachment through the inspection plate"
Pressure plate to flywheel is
non turbo 55
All other is 168 inch-lbsyou have the 420A Modular clutch? 4 bolts hold the clutch to the flex plate?
or do you have it converted to a flywheel and clutch disk and presser plate?
it does sound like there is something going on with the trans it self. how did the fluid look that you drained out? before you go getting a new trans pull the one you got and check the clutch assembly torques and all that.also "Invest $10 in a mechanic's stethoscope. They are very helpful...
if it is in neutral wheels should not spin. that would have something to do with transmission it self. maybe synchros getting stuck. while the car is up and the wheels are moving hopefully not to fast try and hold one and see if that makes a noise or not. may not be a good idea to grab the wheel...
personally i would go with MTX-L Wideband O2 Digital Air/fuel Ratio Gauge i know others that have vary good luck with it and link. it is the fastest one on the market too.but this might help you make up your mind...
i know there is a way to get around using it as dsmlink has a isc simulator that you set so its not needed. just trying to find out what it changes exactly so i can a much of the same thing in my car with ceddy. there is no reason this can't be done. even if i have to write code to do it. with...
most of that stuff was put there to meet the standards of emissions or to help the car to stay running because emissions. I don't have to deal with that stuff were i live most of this stuff is no longer needed. i am not trying to reinvent the wheel trying to improve it. all the people i read...
you can leave it plugged. ever car seems to be different when it comes to the venting of the bov. mine works just fine with out and changes. others i have seen some for my self will die when you let off the gas when stopping or at least want to stall out. your car might run a little rich too...
i have a friend that uses EVO ecu and it works good but you will have to get an adapter or rewire your pugs that go to the ecu. most evo ecu's i seen for sale run about 250-300. the flash that you use on them is TephraMod.the one i use is a black box ecu from a 98 gst and have ceddy flashed...
yes vary sorry i didn't see that you had a N/T. that was my bad! :ohdamn:this post has some good info that could help you alot!http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/420a-bolt-tech/374258-how-change-tranny-oil-what-use.html"The 4G63 is not the same as the 420A and regular gear oil will not...
it clearly states 6 posts down
" Ok, there was no clarification of what transmission was in your car if it was auto or manual.2G 420a Automatic trans takes ATF+4 - 9.1qts
2G 420a Manual (F5MC1) trans takes ATF+4 - 2.1qts1G/2G 4G63T FWD/AWD Automatic (F4A33/W4A33) trans takes Diamond...
yes it has been measured by the maf but that has nothing to do with the air getting past the TB. and the fact the car is using a warm up table when the engine temp is below a specified temp in the ecu that says when engine is below that temp make the isc open and let this X amount of air through...
There is nothing wrong with the flow of the injectors. i have run evo scan on the car and all is working right. I truly think that the car is getting too much gas. when the isc is in the car it opens to allow more air to flow through and if the car is getting more air then it needs more fuel...
so i put a FIAV and ISC block off plate (Made my self) on my car (97 gst with 98 ecu). the idle works like a dream when it is at running temp but any temp below that it idles vary low. I know if i put the isc back on and just block off the FIAV it will most likely work right. i don't want that...
under the bridge in the parking lot.haven't got to go for two weeks do to everyone of my friends and their kids having birthdays on Saturdays, but will be this week and will take some pics too.
