Hahaha yeah that is definitely not my method of connecting two wires, i just bought the COP setup and thats how it was. I was going to cut the plug/wires from my 4-wire connector and solder them together then heatshrink over that, then plastic wire loom.Im not the best at reading those...
I actually did this once a long time ago with my MK3 supra, i cant remember what i used (Might of been JB Weld) but i cut a hole in some exhaust tubing, used the BOV flange and JB Welded/Epoxy'd it to the IC piping. It worked and held boost up to 14psi and never blew off or leaked (That i knew...
Its a eBay manifold, it WILL crack. I have never seen eBay manifolds hold up to abuse, or even daily driving for that matter. There not supported correctly, there cheap ass materials, just avoid eBay stuff.
So i bought a COP setup that came off a 91-94 car, so i looked up the 91-94 wiring diagram and the colors from the diagram do not match the colors from this plug from the harness.Theres a Black, a Red, and a Red with White Stripe. I know the black is ground, but i need to find out which...
So i purchased a COP setup for my 90 talon and it came off a 91-94. I know the 91-94 have a 3pin connector and the 90's have a 4pin connector which has an additional white wire which is the tach signal. I have been searching for hours and every page that has the wiring diagrams posted is so old...
So the 90s get the tach signal from the coil, but on 91s+ it gets it from the ECU? All i need to do is swap the 6pin and 14pin with eachother on the ECU, and then hack off the 3pin connector and wire up my 4pin connector - the wire used for the tach signal?
I purchased a COP setup off somebody online, and before purchasing i didnt check to see if it was a 3 or 4 pin connector (From what im reading online). If it does end up being a 3pin and mines a 4pin does anybody know what i would have to rewire on the cop setup? Thanks,
Shane
I grabbed some RTV Black i believe (The oil resistant kind) for this. I was going to put a little line of RTV around the gasket between the gasket and pan. Seems like i should put a little dab on the bolts that go into the pan too just incase. Now I just need to figure out why the Oil Filter...
Yeah thats kind of what i was going to do, i just wasnt sure if i could find measurements on here first. What I was going to do is put the adapter/an fittings on the turbo w/ the hose already installed onto that fittings, and putting the adapter/an fitting on the pan, and then going from...
So i ordered the kit from extremepsi for there feed and drain, and the feed came all put together, but the drain isn't. The -10AN Hose they gave me is like 12-14" long and i know thats WAY more than i need for the drain from the bottom of a 16g (Factory manifold) to the oil pan.Cliffs: How...
Alright, ill look through there some. Did it sound like the IAC to you?The car does run strong it seems, although itll break up past 6k sometimes, could be boost leak or needing plugs, im not sure as i just got the car and havnt driven it much or really looked into it yet.
So i just picked up a 1990 talon tsi awd 5 speed car two weekends ago, (almost 161k on it, P.O. got it at 157k in 2005 and drove it 3k in 8 years). Most of the mods on the car were on it when he got it i believe, but he did just put a new big 16g and other stuff on it.Heres where the fun...
