I'm running LED headlights on my 99 GSX. The covers fit back on, but I still modified them to let some "cool" air in. I remember reading the LED's can overheat (that's what the fan is for)especially in a sealed housing. The led bulbs themselves have an o-ring to "seal" the inside housing.

UPDATE 7/5/2018 Feal 441 coil-overs and RM Racing sway bars are now installed! The car has never driven so well! WOW! What a difference. I also took some pictures of the Eclipse with my Jeep (before the coil-over install).

If somebody cracked the valve cover in the process of stripping the bolts then maybe so. I'd clean it, replace the cap (pretty cheap) and see if it continues to leak.

My valve cover was oil covered like that too. Replace the oil cap or even just get a new seal from the dealer and you should be good to go.

You definitely won't be disappointed once you find one! It took me 5 years to find the one I wanted...But it was well worth it :hellyeah:
