well that wouldn't have anything to do with the sender or gauge. ive seen gas tanks get air locked but it was on older cars. i guess this could happen to our cars too but something would have to be causing it.

put some anti seize on those bolt before reinstalling them this will help keep them from getting a rust bond and seizing thus causing them to snap if you should later down the road disassemble the control arm again

there is bracket that bolts to the back of the intke mani and goes to the block and bolts to it. its like a support bracket. you have to reach behing the engine to get to it. to you get that off.
