for now, im just building the motor to be tougher.. tough enough to beat on daily.. until the day i can afford the new turbo and all that fun stuff. after my engine is rebuilt, i plan on starting work on my trans, suspension and elimination all the little rust spots before they get worse.

good point. though my ultimate goal for the car is to build a dd/road racer, my plans have to go on hold. so for the time being, im building the motor to just be tougher and able to handle higher horsepower when time and money permits. i would love to just get rid of this car and buy another...

haha.. im such a noob to dsm. i was unaware that i have a 6bolt.. i thought that since i have a 2gb it was a 7bolt.

you're absolutely right.. and i did think of doing that. its going to cost somewhere around $2,500. im putting all this work into my car due to just needing transportation and through all of this i've grown attached to this car. after rebuilding my engine i have to really focus on the body rust...

Not to thread jack, but, is the evo3 turbo a t3 flange? my engine is being rebuilt.. slowly but surely. when going for that turbo, 560cc injectors, fmic, walbro 255, ECM Link and exhaust/turbo manifold, what brands would you recommend and is that all i need? the other list of parts im installing...

Wait.. so does the '95 eprom ecu from a GSX/TSi AWD work fine on my car without ECM Link?

Now I know that in case I need to replace my ECU, I can just look for the same year as my car w/ EPROM and socketed.. I can run that as "OEM", until i can afford ECM Link :) Thanks everyone! :D

After much searching I dont understand which DSM Link Package I need. All I know is that my car is barely modded and i may need to change out the ecu. So I figured that if I have to buy a new ecu, I should replace it with a DSM Link v3 Package. But my problems is I dont know what options and...

To my understanding, the cam angle sensor tells the ecu timing and the crank sensor tells the ecu spark. My uncle and I checked the replaced the CAS. So we're guessing that it's either the crank sensor or the ecu O.o? There's no spark at all but everything else works fine.. I swear this car is...

timing belt, water pump and new clutch were installed a month before i bought the car.. i also changed out the coils, plugs (gaped them too) and new wires.. all to what the sticky on here about maintenance says to do...

what did you mean by "SD"? and yes, i've done all the maintenance i can think of.. seafoamed and running royal purple 10w30.. trans fluid flush and change, radiator flush and change, rear diff fluid..even washer fluid drain and topped off (cousin used water).
