With the huge group of locals I'm going with, everyone is in overdrive (myself included) to get their cars together and running right. There's been nothing but installs, dyno sessions and test passes at the track. It's pretty awesome and hopefully everyone's hard work pays off!
The most common way I see people installing a Kirkey is by fabricating their own brackets. However, I don't have the tools to do this myself (at least I don't think I do).Normally I'd just take the car to a local place, drop it off and have them donthe work but since I don't have a set of...
The intake is indeed supposed to route to the turbo. As far as the new BOV goes, you should really consider running it recirculated to maintain better drivability until you can switch over to SD.Before you throw all these mods on have you already handled all the maintenance? Fluids, timing...
I feel much the same as you guys. The cars are cool but everything else seems staged.I'm sorry, but if the cops show up while you're racing in one of those cars you're not capable of loading it in the trailer, strapping it down, closing everything up and then leaving before you're in deep doodoo.
Chris, are you planning to hit Atco tomorrow or is this rain bs gonna keep up? I heard the heat wave will be gone but haven't actually looked at the weather lol.I'd be able to get the cash for the turbine housing to you then as well :)
That's a really long commute with so much traffic to be driving a 5 speed. I think for a ride like that I'd need an auto just for the frustration that stop & go traffic can be.That being said I've got a 10-15 minute commute with traffic and I don't mind a manual lol.
Feet on the dashboard.I hate feet to begin with and the fact you're putting those nasty things on a car that I love only makes things worse!! Get your nasty feet off my dash!
How long has it been since your last contact with him?I know how some people can be impatient when waiting for parts that they're in a rush to receive. Not to say that's your case but just trying to clarify.
Yea I noticed that when I looked at the picture as well...would it be cheaper through BEP? I'm having a hard time finding the same product on their site lol....and thanks
I recently picked up a freshly rebuilt Borg Warner 88-75 from a friend for a great deal. The turbo came with a T4 divided 1.00 turbine housing and an open T4 .88 housing. After some test fitting, the T4 manifold I was intending to run is pretty much trash.Since T3 manifolds are far more...
I'd trade Forza 4 and Gran Turismo 4 for a modernized version of Need for Speed Underground 2 in a heartbeat lol. While it wasn't a simulator, it still had 95% of the kind of content enthusiasts like us want as far as customization goes (ricer body kits, spinner rims and underglow excluded)...
I've been a big fan of xbox mostly because of how the controller feels and their exclusive titles always seemed better (aside from the Metal Ger Solid franchise of course). But after seeing what they will cost, though $100 difference isn't that huge to me, and what will be included between the...
If this is to judge what turbo you'd need, I think a better question would be "what size turbo should I run?".Landspeed said it when they've got practically every base covered power wise lol.
After years of hearing my friends go on and on about how much fun they always have at the shootout I finally have a DSM of my own and I won't be missing this for the world!
How much did you actually lose by? Are we talking he pulled a nose on you? Or are we talking slinky-bus lengths? What about tires? Were both of you on street tires? Or perhaps he was on a radial or slick....?There's lots of variables to be considered
The part is made by a reputable manufacturer specifically for the car. I don't see any reason it shouldn't be fine unless the dump comes too short from PR themselves...which I doubt.
Have you given any thought into painting/coating or swapping out the stock exhaust manifold? The rest of the bay is getting clean and it's starting to become an eyesore lol
If the pipe on the O2 dump is too short, I'd say just extend the pipe so that it exits lower and can't cause any issuesLike DSMnoobsause said, it should only cost a couple bucks to have it all welded together correctly.
Very nice build so far, it's nice to see you taking care of the show and go aspects in their own rites.A nice way to clean up the engine bay a bit more would be to switch the car to speed density and get rid of the MAF sensor
The S200SX is out the window and I'm looking for a 3065 again lol. I've found a few kits thus far.Currently I've got 2 Walbro 255's in a custom sending unit. The lines were already run when I bought the car, I just need a filter and AFPR to button up the system. The best highest micron...
