Hey guys, I need some help I have spent all weekend on this job finally got the car ready to fire this morning. And it wont stay idling, and dies at any attempt to give it fuel.
Heres what it is
97 spyder gs
Wired in 98 gst ecu, with ign wire ran to pin 82 and knock sensor wire ran to pin 78...
I should also add here that my 97 gs spyder has the 4g64/4g63 n/a hybrid swap already done i drilled and tapped my intake for the map, I also did the injector and fuel pump mod, the crank sensor elim mod, and am running the race vacumn setup on it as well. So besides running the knock sensor...
I have contemplated that, however the previous owners of the 99gst have chopped the wiring up under the dash, something about a resistor for the map sensor and some other deals they tried to do to get the 1g swap to run it looks crappy as hell no solder just wires twisted and taped
No 420a at all.
My car is a 97 spyder gs with a 4g64 in it right now, the 99 gst I bought was wrecked in the rear but has a fresh built 6bolt 4g63t swap in it.
I am wanting to take the 4g63t 6 bolt and put it in my car, i have the wiring diagrams for the iac, the cas, and fuel pump re wire...
I recently bought a 99 gst that I am wanting to switch evwrything over i have researched the ecu swap and all im seeing is I have to run some wires for knock sensor, boost solenoid, etc.
However looking at pinouts i am noticing that certain pins are power on 2g turbo ecu and grounds on 4g64...
Ok thank you, I did come across that thread in my searching. The reason I was asking is because I just did the 4g64/4g63 head the head has 272 cams with 1g cams new seals and I relapped the valves. Added the 1g CAS along with completley removing the trigger plate and CPS. I did the road race...
So I have read and have not foumd a clear answer. Is the 4g64 block/4g63 head a 2.3 stroker engine? I know putting the 2.4 crank in 2.0 block with piston change is a stroker, but Im not sure on the 4g64/4g63 hybrid
I know this has probably been answered but I cant find any clear answers:
Car is a 97 spyder gs with 2.4 sohc head has burnt valves burning 1gt oil every two days block is good 180 across the board on psi test.
I am currently building a 2.4 Dohc but with the cost of what im wanting to do its...
So I am getting ready to mate a 4gcs 2.4 dohc (2000 hyundai) to my 97 evlipse block (4g64) I have searched this but have found nothing detailed on this swap both are stock internals my block is 180 psi across the board.
What modifications will I need to do (drilling out head stud holes, block...
So I have a 420a head that was given to me its been gone through my question is will it bolt up to my 4g63 blk? I have tried a google search on this topic but have no definitive answers. Any links would he appreciated as wrll. Thank you in advance
So after reading all this am i understandimg corre tly its better to run a turbo 4g64 as long as you rebuild the internals? Say..... A crower build kit.? Im new to the sohc 2.4 i have always messed with the 4g63s out of talon tsi. I actually just picked a 97 spyder gt and have both the 4g63...
