I don't see any issues with doing it that way, just watch for any part of the harness that may go into the cabin of the car.

Chances are the pulley separated. Its a common issue on these engines. If that is indeed what happened just throw a new harmonic balancer on her and you will be good to go. :hellyeah:

Here is what I don't understand, by the time you buy the engine, trans, tcase, etc. you could have bought two or three GSXs. I'm not trying to shoot your idea down or anything but you aren't making any sense. Ask yourself why the swap has only been successfully completed only a few times.

I feel safer getting it from a reputable dealer. I have heard a few stories about end tanks leaking on the "eBay" cores. Also heard of fitment issues, missing pipes, missing couplers, missing clamps, couplers with holes in them, blah blah blah. :nono::notgood:

I do have an exhaust leak at the o2 housing and DP flange. But it's been there before this issue arose.

I think my factory FPR finally crapped it's pants. Random fluctuations in AFRs and they are major fluctuations like 11 to 22 to 17 and back to 11 in the matter of a few seconds. A separated crank pulley will also give you a knock/tick sound, so check it and make sure the pulley is still intact.

Weird idle surge question. I have searched around but can't find my specific problems. Idle will fluctuate with the changes in my air fuel ratio. When the fuel leans my idle drops sometime to the point the car dies or almost dies. I don' have exact numbers as don't have my wideband iinstalled...

Check for clutch drag. If it drags adjust the master cylinder. If you still have the problem chances are it's your synchros. I've heard good things about the amsoil synchromesh so give it a try too.

I know as crazy as it sounds I had my timing belt jump a tooth or two and had similar issues. Check the tension of your timing belt if it's loose then check the tensioner. It is hydraulic I believe. I don't see why that would cause the engine not to fire but it did I suppose lol.
