I had these in a car many years ago and they do make it slippy in the bad weather. They did reflect the light but when it was really dark it was too bright.Peter
Hi guys,I've just got my graphics all designed and am waiting for quotes on how much to cut them so hopefully should be done soon.Ordered the Gas lifts as recommended on here but have been ripped off with shipping so am trying to get it sorted now. Paid the seller AND got charged a...
I like those white rims. They will suit the car just right :)I would advise no matter what rim you get, don't do black. They just seem to blend into the arch and lose definition of the rim. If you're going black, you may as well just paint the stock rims.
If i'm honest, i actually like the 2G stock, and would have considered keeping it stock had i been buying it for that reason. BUt i bought the base car specifically for this reason.I actually like the look of the F&F car as well, and so do other people (in the UK anyway). It's far better for...
Again, you all live in Yank land. Things are different over here. This car IS unique. no one else has one. Stock ones are hard to find and get mistaken for old beat up civics.Never read Max Power and would never consider doing anything like this to a car that isn't Movie or TV related. i...
HI All,I'm in need of some rear gas lifters for my 1996 Eclipse and don't know what kind to get.I've searched ebay and most seem to be for later models.Firstly, Will lifters from any other car fit that i may be able to get here in the UK?Secondly, I now have a heavier spoiler...
You people from accross the pond will obviously hate what ive done.Over here, NO one really knows what an eclipse is. To everyone in the Uk (apart from the very few that own/have owned an eclipse) this car was a Honda Civic (so i was told many times before painting it). It diodn't stand out...
Sorry guys but the F&F conversion has already started. Got the car out of the Bodyshop and it now looks like this.Don't forget, the F&F replica may be overdone in america, but not here in the UK. The original went on for sale at £8500.00 last month. Other than that, the Eclipse is...
Haha. Thanks guys.Yeah, it is a 4G63 Non Turbo. And sorry, but it IS going Fast and Furious like my Supra. :)The white car is a 300ZX and has now been sold to pay for the eclipse. My Amercan and Canadian friends are going to hate me whan i say this but.........I've tinted the amber...
That is the most awesome rear of a car i've seen.To be honest, i don't think that price is too bad. An LED conversion for my 300ZX was going to cost over $400, and that was without the centre panel.Peter
Wow. never even heard of this before now. That's awesome!! those cars look great. if you fancy a different colour but want to go back to the original sometime it's a great way to do it.I'm having soooo many ideas for this now.Do they do it in Silver?
Cheers Bobby. I know you sent me that link but im thinking there are no other differences.Silly question, but what way round are the engines in the US Turbo Models? are the belts on the right as you look into the engine and the air filter on the left like mine or the other way round?
Really just the differences between the European engine spec and the USA engine spec.I thought the engine parts would be the same for a 4G63T and the 4G63 engine, minus the Turbo parts but i've been told there is more to it than that.Peter
Some of the parts are different. For example, i bought a 4G63 timing belt kit but luckily the company that sold it to me looked up my reg and with it being a eurospec it needed an extra belt and pulley. Just little things like that.It came without a MAF at all and a bit of what can only be...
Didn't know they existed to be honest. Being from the UK we have VERY few Eclipses at all. The only spyders i've seen are the 3G ones. Even when i was in the states on Holiday i didn't see the Spyder version driving around.Peter
Hi And welcome. There are a few of us in the UK (not many) And i know of someone with a 2G GSX not far from me.Nice to see more UK people joining up :)Peter
I say you can't go wrong with an Alpine set up.I currently have Fusion ones all round in my Supra and although they do the job, i wish i'd invested in Alpine ones when i had all the panels off. Really can't be bothered to change them out again now though.Peter
Very useful guide.I just ordered my 2Gb headlights so now i know i will have a gap until i get my aftermarket bumber.Might be worth making a small mesh insert for now just to get the look :)Peter
HI All,I have a 1996 Eclipse, European Version, and i'm after a definitive list of the differences between mine and the USA/Canada versions.I have just recieved my Chiltern Workshop Manual and it says in small print on the front "For all USA and Canada models 1990 - 1998".I know...
Thanks for the welcome.Do you have the US or European version of the Eclipse?I'm still struggling to find out the differences. I ordered the wrong Timing belt kit and luckily enough i supplied my reg and the company called me and got me the correct one.Any help or advice is always...
Hi All,I mentioned in my introduction post that my MAF sensor is missing and seems to have been removed when a previous owner fitted a sub-standard induction kit. Now with my car being the 1996 European model with the 4G63 engine, will any MAF sensor fit? I've been watching some that belong...
thanks old sid.I'm finding it rather hard to navigate, compared to other forums i belong to. The newbie forum confuses me not being able to post in the regular forums and search for threads etc. I'm sure i'll get the hang of it though. :)Peter
HI There.I'm new from the UK too. I've just bought a 1996 Eclipse GS (N/A) and strangely enough it came from London.I hope your search is fruitful.Peter
HI All.My name is Peter and i come from Newcastle Upon Tyne in the United Kingdom.I've recently bought myself a 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse. Its the European version with the 4G63 engine.A current member here, Eric from the UK, recommended this site as being the best for help and...
