Just got a lot of the maintenance done on the ol' GSX. Replaced all the gaskets too. Next week I will be replacing the Master and Slave cylinder with new OEM ones as with new tranny, transfer case, and rear end fluids with Redline.
I miss you guys! I plan on finishing the GSX this summer. Last summer was all tune up and repairs, also bills lol. We should all meet up sometime though.
I believe its a an early 97 because it doesn't have split thrust bearings. I got the car put back together and my cold starts at 1100RPM is about 70PSI Oil pressure and warm is 20psi. I haven't done WOT yet as i'm going to hook the laptop back up and check the tune. Running great though.
Yeah I used the ones you smash on the crank with the bearings to measure clearance. I had help from my uncle that has be rebuilding motors for a while now. The car pulls beautifully though, little rich 10.5 but stopped tuning because of the OIL pressure issue. I haven't driven it in about 2...
Its going great! Just suffering from some high oil pressure. I drove the car once before removing the motor to replace the flywheel bolts. I went ahead and threw some brand new ACL Race bearings in while the motor was out. Ever sense then, I have oil pressure at about 80 cold and 20 warm. At WOT...
Are there any 420a or 4g63T Eclipse's at the Cabot Pick N Pull or Little Rock Pick N Pull, If so can someone local check to see if they have any grey back seats. I'll take tan, but rather not. I can dye it I suppose. Leather only please.
I would search craigslist for one with blown motor or something like that. I don't know of any GSX's around the bville area. But maybe in searcy there may be something.
Had a tornado come in Batesville picking a few vehicles up and tossing them around. Thing is, i had no idea there was a tornado. I was in southside working on my car adjusting the bumper. What luck I had.
Internal wastegate or external? When upgraded to a 14b from a t25 on my old gst, the wastegate was stuck open a little causing a very slow spool. It was internal.
We will find out soon enough.Fuel pressure is stronger than ever, 43.5 base fuel pressure and no needle movement at all with vacuum line off. Boosting at a 10.0 to --- on the AEM UGEO. I know that's rich but it's better than over 16.0 to --- lol. So to conclude this issue. The pump filter got...
That black crap contaminated my fuel pump, and now it's going out. Can't hold a constant 43.5psi of fuel pressure. It pulses. I checked all wiring with and volts meter. All checks out. So I came to the conclusion that my 3 month old walbro 255hp is going out. That's why I need to drop the tank...
I changed the fuel filter just 30 minutes ago but didn't change anything. I've read that walbros get loud during warm/hot days but this is extremely loud. It starts out quiet like it usually ran at 15-20psi then it progressively gets louder. You wouldn't happen to know what the resistance should...
Not sure on the gauge, just whatever STM sells in their package. I do have an inline fuse. The wire itself is normal temp until it connects to the smaller wire to the pump.
To start off I have a 3 month old Walbro 255hp fuel pump rewired. I used the kit from STM. My fuel pump has always been quiet. No back seats either. Just recently I started to notice it getting louder, and when I try too boost I'm leaning out before I reach 10psi when the goal is my regular...
The only way your getting another exhaust tip on, is if you have a bolt on exhaust. Otherwise you will have to cut and weld. As far as my knowledge tells me.
Just a lot of water. Couldn't drive anywhere until the rain slowed down. Got windy for a second, but the flooding did most of the damage. Cars getting swept off the road left and right.
GReddyNeed oil pressure gauge bulb for my greddy oil pressure gauge. This seem to be the right part?Them seem to be out of stock. I need a bulb for my gauge, part number for Greddy is 16400061. I found one on ebay, but for $11 it's not happening.
I do need a laptop, just for tuning though. I just don't want to spend over $100 on something I'm using just for tuning.Adjusting the launch limit speed from 12 to 2 helped a lot! Thanks for the advice!
Well I was going to a friends house and the thermostat got stuck shut. I could to drive it for like 2 minutes and the cel came on 225* then I would shut it off and turn the fans full on in link until it cooled down to at least 200* and I could drive it about another half mile. I had to do that...
