Yes, there is a trigger. You have an upstream and a downstream O2 sensor. Since there is no difference between the values without the cat installed, the readiness test will always show incomplete for the cat readiness.
IF clutch bub breaks, loosing springs and other metal, there pressure plate sometimes can get jammed by the loose stuff. Time to pull trans and find real problem.
Issue can be caused by the spring loaded shift dogs. When worn, shift dogs no longer keep shifter ring locked onto gear. Transmission tear-down time to fix.
Dummby lights come on too late more often than not. Definately check with a mechanical guage to verify pressue at idle on up. Many things can cause low oil pressure but get a verified, accurate reading before going down the rabbit hole!
second feels like I just hit a wall when it builds boost ...please explain. Falls flat then goes or no power at all? Other issues affectthis such as fuel. If fuel pressure or volume low, that can make car seem like a "boost" issue.
Twin clutches hold more power and easier to shift st that level. Cost more but worth it. But the more power your clutch holds that same load shifts to next weak link: transmission, transfercase, and rear differential.
Don't forget valveguides and proper valve guide seals. Ensure using proper seal for application. Worn valve guides allow oil to leak down onto the top of the pistons after non-use. This appears to be the first order complaint. Several engines including my M3 had a bad valve guide and...

Hydro-lock produces strange damage depending on how much water was ingested to how fast the engine was going. Insurance adjuster may just total the car since the repairs likely will be more than 50% of blue book value.
Just like turbo-ing a Honda, you can create a really expensive grenade quickly even with a good and well installed kit. Normally aspirated engines were not built to take the extra forces created by boosting. Get a turbo car or engine to begin playing with.
Thermostats act as a flow restrictor to allow coolant to have time to absorb heat. Otherwise, your coololing system doe not operate optiminally to cool engine.
Sad we live in a society that people can't keep the nice thing they work hard to earn! also sad how much time, effort and money you have spent to try to prevent future theft.
I agree. Built and torn down many engines. Under no load and just spinning with starter, you don't create damage. Remember to properly break in the engine before really pushing boost.
