You said you changed the fuel pump, cleaned the tank, changed oil and oil filter; Did you change the fuel filter while you were at it? Also, did you replace the plug wires when you got the new plugs?
Do any of you have experience with a hobart 140. 500559 model number.(Amazon.com: Hobart 500559 Handler: Home Improvement) I've been wanting to get a welder to do some work to my talon and I'm new to welding so I figured I'd ask some of you for advice. The 115v welder would be plenty for any...
Do a quick search on ebay and I'll almost guarantee that you'll find one. If not maybe even craigslist or amazon? They are out there just gotta look. If anything just type your model of car into the google search!:hellyeah:
I picked my FSM up on Ebay for around $17 shipped. That $17 is going to be the best spent money for this car. It has everything from wiring diagrams to troubleshooting various mechanical issues. It's really a great. It has two volumes. The body, chassis and mechanical is one volume and the other...

I'm in the same boat..I found several fried wires in my harness from power windows. and near my ecu there are some weird things going on with the wiring as well! The dash is relatively easy and I personally think taking the steering wheel and turn signal and wiper switches out makes it much...
I could be wrong, but beings it's cold the fluid would be a little thicker. Once it warms up it would thin out thus making it harder to shift. Also, I know bad synchros gave me similar issues with first and reverse. But check the easy stuff first! I know sheps transmissions are good so I don't...
have you changed the fluid in the transmission recently?
.."New or recently rebuilt transmissions should have the oil changed after the initial first 500 miles and again after 1000 miles, then every 5000 miles.".. taken from Recommended Transmission Oils- Team Rip Engineeringfound that link...

i second checking the springs if you haven't done so already. . had a buddy who was losing compression and turned out one of his springs snapped and didn't notice it until he realllly took a look at them as it just fell down inside the lower half of the spring give them a good look over.
If you don't already have one..pick up a factory service manual . .I got mine on ebay for like $10. It has two volumes and one is specific for the electrical. The other is chassis, engine, and body. . definitely worth the money as it will show you your wiring diagrams and relay locations...
Check the grounds thoroughly not just visually, just because they look okay doesn't mean they are connecting right. make sure your negative terminal is tight and free of corrosion. same with the grounds. :thumb:Also, what was the main issue you were having that made you feel you should check...
it doesn't hurt to check the grounds... it's a cheap fix if that is actually the issue. :thumb:Also, did you test the battery with the car on or off? You checked voltage at the alternator? what did you come up with for a value?Check the voltage at the alternator, then the fuse box, and then...
