Try changing your crank position sensor, again.Back on my first eclipse I changed everything possible with the same code and then I changed the crank sensor for a second time and it worked. Apparently, they are very finicky and the aftermarket ones have a 50/50 chance of working. Try to get a...
Yes.But in all seriousness, if the flares aren't done correctly or tested with bodylines/flow, think of your car with imperfect bubbles coming off the sides interrupting flow. On the MR2's, flares actually seem to shatter the airflow going down the sides of the car LOL, which is bad.And...
This has me thinking.I come from the land of MR2's and over on one of the forums there is actual wind tunnel tests of wide body/splitters/diffusers basically anything you can think of and how it affects the airflow going over/under and through the car.-And they have come to find that any...
I had Eibach Sportlines on my car with 17's for a while and it was a perfect combo. My profile picture is with the springs installed so you can get an idea of the stance.
As for where to buy them, Ebay is the best I've found and I've literally tried almost all of them. All the parts stores have the super thin and cheap handles. But the ones you get from ebay are thicker and you can feel they are stronger. They almost felt oem compared to my oem handles.
Make sure wherever you put the new ground it is on bare metal, if you put the ground on a painted surface it will not make contact. If you did you can just scratch the paint away where the ground would contact and try.
What he said.Older Toyota's are finicky and take some special tools and very precise alignment, at least my old MR2's did. Newer Toyotas im pretty sure anyone can work on. Very simple and easy to get to parts. Also, I wouldn't bother with German cars for a beginner. Every other Japanese car...
Does the chatter go away when you press in your clutch pedal, and come back when you let up off of it? If the noise stops when you step on the pedal, it might be your throw out bearing going out.
I've searched and haven't been able to find anything. When I go to start my car, it will crank but only start if I press the gas pedal. It warms up normally and then when warmed up, the rpms drop to about 700. When I try to start the car when warm, I still need to press the gas to start it. It...
Right now i have a n/a 91 MR2 with 300,000 miles, but looks and drives like its got a fifth of them. I really miss my old eclipse even though it was non turbo. For the past few years iv'e really been into and got very knowledgeable about boost. So I'm debating whether to trade for a GST or GSX...
I just sold a set of AWD ones and bought FWD, the rear spring rate is higher and ALSO the rear strut assembly is 2 inches taller, atleast on the 2 sets i had.
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/maintenance-repairs/451178-removing-7-bolt-automatic-transmission.htmlHope this helps a little, sorry didn't know if you were leaving motor in or taking both out.
Ill try a new belt. If the belt doesnt work, i believe i need a new compressor.EDIT: found the problem. Sprayed wd40 on the clutch that goes into the compressor and the squeal disappeared. I know it is not a permanent fix but now i do the compressor needs lubricant.
No it only squeals on super tight turns when the ac is NOT on. And my motor mounts are good. I have a feeling my clutch is seized or is not lubricated. PS: the squealing comes from the compressor not the power steering.
Ever since i have owned this car it has done this. Every time i turn my ac on it squeals for a given amount of time then stops, and the ac light blinks, then does it again. And when i take a tight turn it squeals for however long im taking that turn. I've tried tightening and loosening the belt...
Found the problem.I was totally out of alignment. So i got an alignment. Both fronts had -2.5 toe and -3.0 camber on both sides, so the problem was actually my alignment and not my control arm bolt. LOL
I need help finding a color on my GSX wheels, Could someone photoshop:GOLDBURNT ORANGE ( like the stock 95-96 eclipse color)GUNMETALon my GSX wheels? Im repainting because the original paint was awful and even aircraft paint stripper wont take it off, so im sanding them and need...
You would need the mounting brackets along with the lights, and the wiring. I wired mine into a switch i got from autozone and they worked like OEM. I HIGHLY suggest taking the stock connectors for the fogs also. And you could cut your bezzels ( the plastic pieces), or find the ones that came on...
Recently traded my 2gb eclipse sideskirts for 2ga talon twistys. Since my car is an RS, it never came with body holes or clips to put them on.So what im wondering is, Is 3M strong enough to hold the door caps on? the bottom portion and end cap have screws to have extra security, but the door...
Only do it to a 420a eclipse, otherwise its a waste of a 4g.Having my car slammed and needing tires about every 3 months, I say don't do it. Ride is extremely bouncy even with expensive coils and you have to drive like your dodging mines. Plus fitting wheels to be flush with the fenders is...
No everything was tight and ready to go. I think it was because i was running on 17s and on a high profile tire. The tire was so far in my fender, the top of the rim was flush with the fender.Im looking to have a stance like this:
I have a rs, so speed isnt a thing for me so ive decided to go low and slow.I Put new coilovers on and slammed it( more than i wanted, i was in a rush) and while driving, My upper control arm bolt was rubbing and tearing away against my tire and took it the the bead.Im wondering how to...
I replaced mine about 6 months ago and it still makes noise.I have looked at both TOB and it seems the OEM one has rubber sleeves ( probably the reason why it doesn't make that annoying chatter). And then the aftermarket replacement is metal sleeved, hence the chattering. Also i am not sure if...
Trying to look for wheels with an offset. My wheels are in perfect shape design wise( no curb rash or bent lip) but they desperately need to be painted. Need to be 17x7 or wider. Preferably with tires also.PM with questions, can send pics.
Just replaced my tie rod ends and my car pulls hard to the left. Would i need to adjust the left tie rod end or right? And would i thread the tie rod end further on the rod, or further off?Have checked other threads, none provide information i am looking for.
Replacing my wheel bearing and hub assembly and i have everything off including the 4 bolts that hold the bearing into the steering knuckle. Now the bearing wont come out of the knuckle. Do i need to get it pressed out? should it just come off by hitting it with a hammer? or do i need a hub...
It has to do with cold starts. Im thinking the heat made the gas evaporate more and faster. My code came up when it first started getting cold for maybe 4 days, then went off and never came back. :applause:
I might sell them and get the stock red ones. I really really REALLY want to paint my car that sock 2ga durango copper color with a whole lot of clear, so i see the red ones matching better.
Im running 3 inch right now with cat, but resonators are designed to kindof 'quiet' the exhaust a bit so id go with resonators. For instance, i have 2 resonators and its a nice deep tone and somewhat quiet...unless of course your getting on it. Either way without the cat it will still be loud...
