Also, I didnt have the head resurfaced, my mechanic said that he "thought" that he tested the head to see if it needed resurfacing and it passed for lack of better words. Anyways, are you supposed have it resurfaced when installing the mls gasket
I agree when I got it it had a blown gasket. I went throughly through my tune allthough im a novice I was picking up extreme knock at 4000 rpms I couldnt get rid of it no matter how many people helped i trried for months. So, I dont know whether it is an internal problem, maybe a coolant leak...
Second blown gasket this one had 3k miles, I tuned my car, I did it as good as I could, car seemed like it was sucking up coolant after I Had a shop replace the HG.About 20 psi
My head blew on my 1995 eclipse gsx looking for a good used head hmu on here or
at 7072622702 let me know what u got thanks
Btw my head blew a hole the size of a dime through one of the smaller holes on the head if anyone knows what wpuld cause that feel free to post your experience once again...
I got it back from a shop, I had a previous headgasket problem, I dont know to much about head gaskets so I didnt do them myself but when I got it back it was going through coolant still. Now he tells me he thinks the block is warped, nevertheless It ran dry of coolant blew the radiator and...
So my car overheated blew the radiator, and now it has a a huge misfire I tested the plugs and thier all good heres a video of the sound http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QUK1Tg2hwQUnd
Well I found this site 1993 and under falls under classic car so heres how they average out thing's I dont know how reputable the site is though 1993 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX 2 Door Coupe Turbo AWD Value, Prices & Specs | NADAguides | NADA 1993 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX Book Value & 1993 Mitsubishi...
Whats wrong with the OG lol that dudes willing to put $500 down vs a 275HP mustang with his Little hatch back honda CRX, dudes pretty cool in my opinion the guy recording got scared hahaha didnt even want to show his motor because he new he'd get beat up by a pink ####
wont a open dump work ? also if I got a downpipe it would pretty much be worthless with a stock cat right? Is there a catshell or something I could use with a straight pipe, Im not really feeling the gutted cat thing because it creates turbalance im looking for free flow
I dont agree with the shit box comment but I do see the aftermarket scene depleting when it comes to dsm's which tells me if you want an upgraded DSM its going to get harder and harder to find one.Do you have a link I seen one with a O2 housing for $148 I dont know how good they are though
I've noticed parts are fading more and more I cant even get a downpipe right now lolThe automatic is whats bugging me , plus I changed out the front case gaskets along with the oil gaskets ,head gaskets, and whatever else I can think of because it the were all leaking only to have the oil...
Well you never know I think it's premature to judge DSM's, these cars have only been on the market for 20 years, how long has the the Mustang Cobra been out? Reputation is what ruins the car you get morons who beat on these cars and put crap ebay parts into it that do nothing but create...
You have to get an adapter If im not mistaken it should bolt on to the plastic pipe but I would upgrade that too, me personally I went Front mount intercooler with a Greedy type Rs for more boost down the line, but if your on a budget it should go onto the plastic piping with an adapter
DO you have a boost controller hooked up? and is it running on stock injectors? what about a fuel pressure regulator and a fuel pump do you have those? all reasons why it may feel slower plus you need a way to tune things.Btw the plastic Bov I would replace with a stock 1g bov they can handle...
I can't believe some off these ignorant school kids on craigslist having no respect for our cars and the effort we put into them. I had one hit me up and offer me $2200 for my 1995 Eclipse GSX with $10k worth of mods and 4k worth of maintence done in the last year. Nevertheless he tried telling...
SHit ill sell you mine for 2500 lol it needs help tho has bad vss, anyways theres a reason its only 3700. some advice though just like with DSM's take your time dont be in a hurry to buy a VR-4 youll be sorry if you get one thats been ragged on all the time, everything in them engine wise takes...
Depends on how well they did the rebuild and the parts used where they oem?who did the rebuild were they a reliable source? how well do they know mitsubishis is another questiong you have to ask? make sure theirs no upwards bends/dents in the lower oil pan, there bad ass cars no doubt, but...
3700 seems cheap, VR4s are expensive to work on and a pain in the ass too, valve stem seals are a common problem, the ECUs can be troublesome too, also i talked to a guy whos owned 18 3000gt's he said that they are ticking time bombs. LOL I think he refering to the main bearing going out or...
So I talked to the guy I got my 1995 Auto GSX and He tells me that when he had the car he had a transmission shop rebuild the transmission. He then said that he ordered a JDM transmission from Texas, and the guy at the shop swapped the parts out of the JDM Trans into the current stock...
Whys that will it half-ass blow my sh*& up? Im running my wideband of the radio can it take another constant hmmm I wonderHere's the end resultsWhat I did was Used the Add a fuse and hooked it up to the gauge from the Door Lock 15 amp fuse in the fuse box next to your foot( as my 12v...
Looking for a 12v constant to tap my boost gauge into on the Driver side and a place to put my switch any ideas I threw the same question out earlier with no success anyone?
So this is a first for me, I just recieved my 2 gauge dash pod cluster and was wondering how to route the wires, I just bought a Used Glow shift boost gauge that will go in the left pod (the wiring to that will be a first to).Anyways should I just make holes in the lower plastic dash piece...
Oh no Im not down with all that but they'll straight up take your car up here if your not legit or atleast look legit,Im cool off the random smog checks and If I tried to roll by a CHP up here with a dump and a my BOV going Off it would be the end of the road for this car. I just read that Gus...
Lol your In So Cal Im up in /Hillbillyville theres like 10 cops to every person up here just living here makes you paranoidDont you got to modify the endpiece though to line up?
F*** I need to just move to a state that dont have B.S Smog lawsSo no matter what I have to have the end piece cut off and re-welded to line up with the CAT unless I get lucky and find a good part out?
So im looking at this Ebay Speed Daddy down pipe, it looks legit but I don't think everything is going to line up correctly. Does anyone know of a cheap down pipe that will line up,that has a O2 bung welded in and will directly bolt on to my Cat Converter?
I personally dont like my auto but I think im not doing things right with it need a pro to give me a hand in opeining this thing up and yeah 103 is for the big one stock at 180* seems like it would cause more harm then good imo exspecially if going for upgrades
I've already deleted the hard lines to the stock Cooler makes things so much easier to get in and out too, I have that mishamitso on the back of the FMIC but I think that would restrict airflow to my radiator causing temps to rise a little more then normal by say 2-4 degrees at the radiator but...
I can't find the rating on the Mishmitso and the Oem is designed to keep temps at 180 thats making me want to throw them both out and get something differentI think the mishmitso is like 10,000-15000 btu
Its a testing the waters phase and yeah I've been seeing the posts I talked to Tedspec he knows whats up, Idk if Im going to get what I want out of the tune thoguh considering I got an auto might have to put in more work some im flip floppy about putting in another 2 grand after spending around...
Im just asking because I currently got the Mishmitso behind my FMIC and want to know if I m wasting my time mounting the OEM one to the SMIC location. The Mishmitso is pretty small compared to the Oem one
I got a 2g and want to know which Trans cooler is better at keeping the temps low? this one Mishimoto Universal Transmission Cooler | eBay
Or the Oem Trans cooler
