I had the same problem as you and mine turned out to be a boost leak

I have a megan racing exhaust with a dynomax glasspack and its pretty quiet when cruising

you should also get a boost gauge first

while your in there replace everything including the water pump for peace of mind. then you wont have to do that if it leaks

did you monitor your o2 to see if it is cycling

14b would be a good start

adam that's bad only because it probably wont last long and we wouldn't want that turbo to blow up on you but your ok for now at low boost. i'd be looking for another turbo soon

slickers what boost were you at for those dyno numbers and were those with the 14b

cool take your time. I have a 96 tsi fwd auto with a 14b and I love it. I'm only at 13 psi and it pulls nice

its fine i'm not going to bash you for that. I was a noob like you before but know you have a bigger turbo than the stock one I would try to find out which one it is. Just take off the intake and take a picture of the blades and maybe I can help you out

well I saw that you have a j pipe on that turbo. The stock turbo for that car had a t-25 which did not have a j pipe. So you got a steal

when I had my 1g bov it would leak at idle where the tube attached to the bov so it is possible

I have a question for you guys whats the fastest 2g with a 14b ### you guys are making me want to keep my 14b on. I know I probably wont be as fast but to break 12s with this 14b would be nice

did u install an adjustable fuel pressure regulator

you may have bad valve stem seals

from left to right it should be 4-1-2-3

your p0505 code has to do with the iac motor. It probably went bad. So i would check there first

I had 148,500mi when I started to mod mine and it runs great

the only thing that isn't good is if you use regular paint to paint over it, it just makes it a lot harder to peel off

your random miss probably has to do with your injector code. Also try cleaning your maf to see if it helps.sry I didnt see your non turbo never mind cleaning a maf that isn't there

your struts could be weak

just plasti-dip it.... at least u can peel it off and if u don't like it or repaint with different color plasti-dip
