I would second checking the fuel filter. Ethanol is gunky on fuel filters in large quantities. As for the e87 it could but its doubtful any would be left if you emptied the tank and have driven a few miles.

Fixing the tps and boost leaks would be a relatively cheap job but could net much more profit in the end from someone very interested. And as stated the bodies are where real value is. I can buy a new engine any day but not a new body.

Pictures of the ecu would be nice. Something could have just fried. The IAC (idle air control) valve is known to go bad and take the ecu with it. Which is one of many things that can cause rough idle.

If it wasn't lines up properly when done last time by whoever did it then you can spin it for the next week non stop and it still won't line up. Line up everything else as good as you can then remove tension replace new components via Vfaq and make sure its done right.

My thoughts a first would be lean from looking at the plugs. But a pics of the head, chambers and ports, would be very helpful in diagnoses.

Check battery and starter ground. Make sure they are tight and clean.

Dirty engine bay!!! But all kidding aside how's the bottom of the strut towers look inside the wheel wells? They mostly get the rust cancer before the top does because of all thus horrible salt here. It looks good though if you ever need help or parts just pm me.

The 2g t25 is fed from the OFH stock not the head as with a 1g. Running a car with very high oil pressure can damage a lot of internal parts I think the turbo should be the least of his worries.

Look up jafromobile on YouTube he has a lot of videos explaining 4g63 related things especially with oil modifications.

I personally don't trust eBay. Try the classifieds on here for turbos.

Take your intake pipe off the turbo and wiggle the center bolt inside for shaft play. If it moves a good amount especially if it touches the housing your seals are shot. If not you'll need to do a compression test on the engine. But its most likely just the turbo.

The 14b will bolt on your car and be good to go. You don't need another 02 housing or manifold. Yours are better then 1gs to begin with don't change them.

Is it a 5speed. If so the clutch safety switch might be unplugged or messed up.

Is your starter grounded properly? Try running a ground wire from one of your starter bolts to bat. Negative then try starting it ( good sized wire).

I'm not sure about a 1000 for not running but I do agree that a rust free not running car is worth more then a running rust bucket. Those goals for a d.d are not incredibly hard for these cars but I would definitely do some research still especially if your considering a non running project.

This might be just me but a body is a lot harder to get back perfect then a motor sometimes. Especially with bad rust. And you should expect the worst with the bad timing belt if it jumped timing and was ran after for anypperiod of time its a very strong possibility the head also needs rebuilt...

Make sure the plugs are in the proper order. Then check the cas and ecu.

Check your heater core. Does your engine still reach normal running temp? If it does then it has nothing to do with your engine temp right?

Your coolant temp sensor is NOT needed to start your car.

Any news on dates? Maybe a trailer?

2gs didn't come with a non turbo 4g63. OP check your coils your car has 2 coils one for cylinders 1 and 4 and another for 2 and 3. If your coil is dead you could be smelling unused gas still being dumped into the cylinders.

You should check that 14b before buying if its been at 20psi for a while. And if theres no receipts then dont believe its in the car(unless you can see it)
