well the speed shop seems to be good from what i heard he does good work and has worked on them before. when i seem everything it looked tight but then again dunno. also you say that it couldn't be the problem do you have any idea what else it would cause this?
i had a speed shop instill everything on the car. i went there today and the guy told me that he is gonna replace the t-belt tensioner again to see if thats the problem so I'm hoping it is
No it has ever made this sound. when i bought the car a few months ago it needed some tlc. so i fixed everything did all the maintenance that i saw on here. Replaced the valve cover gasket, turbo gasket, injectors seals, trans seals, all hoses were replaced, timing belt, timing tensioner, ect...
IThanks allot man it sounds really similar to mine I'm gonna take the time belt tensioner off this weekend hopefully that fixes the problem. Then I can finally tune my car :)
no it doesn't I'm thinking it could be the cam bearings going bad not sure tho :(there should be sound i just clicked on the link... but you might be right about the cam bearings being worn out:barf:
No not at allwell i took the valve cover off. I got my timing belt job done by a mechanic everything was replace with gates that was about a few months ago. I don't see why it could be that thought because the sound is coming from the head by the cam gears not the cam gears its self.
Hey guysI've been hearing a noise coming from the head by the cam gears. I took off the head a few days ago and everything seem to be nice and tight no lose lifters or anything. Has anyone had this problem before its driving me crazy lolThanks
I smell gas while in boost. I'm thinking it could be a bad seal on the welbro 255 fuel pimp its making me run really rich, but not really sure. Has anymore had the of the similar problem.Thanks
I have 550 injectors, 255 walbro fuel pimp, evo 16g. I'm running stock boost so 14psi. Getting the reading off a wideband. I have safc controler. I just bought this car and want it running right. I'm new to dsm
Yeah I have one. When I used the safc controller I fixed everything to make it run good ### it was running lean. My numbers are now 14.7 a cruise speed, but when I get on the gas a little it moves to 9.0 to 11. At high rpm it runs like crap. I also do have a 2g maf

Oh ok I don't have any knock at all much is good right?now I'm hitting fuel cut at 4500rpm I have the air to fuel ratio running perfect now even at cruise speed
