i would check clutch to my n/a started grinding to and it was a leaky master witch toasted the syncros. i loved my n/a but there is not as much for them.

yeah it all depends on what you do i pulled the built head of one of my other cars for my laser witch had all 16 valves bent from broken timing belt. just had it cleaned new gaskets, valve seals (just because) , belt and tensioner all for under 500. that's best case scenario.

unhook your batt then hook it back up and see if it gets rid of the light or will get it to throw a code.regarding brakes sounds like your basic loss of pressure check for leaks in lines
if its the entire setup just pull out the old and put in the new . mine just bolted in just like the stock one. steering knuckle bolts to 43-51ft lbs i think and like 33ft lbs or something like that for the top

dowel pins on cam gears straight upthe mark on the crank gear is a notch on the plate the side of your t belt rests onturn it till the dowel pins are straight up then take another pic of crank gear i cant see the timing mark where it is right now
