Ok let's play the number game let's say you can buy a single MHI Subaru 16G for $560 from MHI but you can't just one, they have a minimum order quantity of 30 units. So now you gotta spend $16800 just to get production running, if not you gotta pay retail for the turbo but that'll run you around...
We have used a lot of Garrett and Mitsubishi parts so yeah I guess you could say that we have a lot of Chinese parts in our turbos. You don't think all the parts in an MHI turbo are made in Japan do you? You think your GTX3582 is American made? Closest you'll get to that is a CHRA assembled in...
Snooopy,So that we're all on the same page let's look at the blemish he's talking about. Here is the exact picture he sent us.While it's hard to tell he's actually trying to take a pictures of the surface of the inside of the cover where the air exits the compressor cover. This is...
It can be ran either way but you're correct the boost pressure is meant to go in so that it assists the BOV in remaining closed which allows for the very light spring requirements.Tim awesome job as always!- Michael
Our .85 housing has no problem supporting every bit of flow the Super 99 is capable of as evidence by the multiple 170+ trap speeds and 950-1000WHP dyno sheets people using the turbo have generated. While the volute and nozzle area can be played with the inlet is the bottle neck in the...
It's cool no hard feelings we don't set out to mislead anyone and the website descriptions have always been clear on what you're buying. It's even more clear now that it's listed in the new format where before the information was in the product description. I knew it would create some confusion...
I made a mistake, I had only been with the company 3 months and probably shouldn't have been pulling numbers off the top of my head. If you were told 71MM by someone here I don't know why they would have said that other than just thinking 71HTA and saying 71MM. We're only human after all...
Everyone is really really really really really really over complicating and reading way too much in to this.1. The website has a typo the 71HTA for EVO 9 should be listed as a 68MM instead of 71MM. That is a mistake and I have just rectified it to list the exducer size to be listed as 68MM...
Yeah sorry for liability reasons we can't make a modification like that to a "used" turbo. No matter what happens if that turbo fails after we do the upgrade it's going to be our fault, so we only do it if we rebuild the turbo at the same time so we know exactly what's going on.-Michael
Is yours internally or externally gated? If it's externally gates it's literally just a compressor cover swap and we sell them for $200.If it's internal it's a littler trickier since the WGA is different between the two and your current WGA won't bolt up.-Michael
Right now upgrading the to new wheel is not available a few months from now when I have a ton of the shafts and housings sitting around it might be a service we offer but right now quantity is limited and we'll be using these on the new turbos.-Michael
Your compressor wheel measures 51/68? If so then it has the current wheel we use in the 68HTA which is the 7168HTA wheel since it's a hybrid. If it has the older 49/68 wheel we can upgrade it however we don't do upgrades without rebuilds so it would be around $500-600 to do the upgrade.-Michael
I'm not really sure how anything I said is misinformation, everything I said is factual and true. We never mislead anybody and if something changes with the turbo we might not jump up and down and announce it especially if it's something like increasing the max flow rating of the turbocharger...
At the time of the quote the 68HTA's were listed on the site as TD06-68HTA's I really didn't mean to mis lead you in anyway that's for sure. Just and over site that I didn't think to mention as the website had been updated. As for performance the 65MM turbine adds a little on the spool side...
That's a 65MM turbine which was part of a sale we ran and the product description specifically listed TD06-68HTAs just like what we're doing with the Subaru 68HTA's right now. It's also why it was $750 instead of $1200 because we were building them out of non-standard parts. The 68HTA was...
It is a new Turbine wheel that will be replacing the 5H and TD06 turbine wheels in our DSM/Subaru line up. The people who get the 68HTA's with this new wheel are going to be EXTREMELY happy with it's performance.-Michael
The Green XL uses a 65MM turbine the OS Red/Red/Black use a 67MM turbine. The term 8CM refers to the A/R of the turbine housing it doesn't reference the contour, inlet, or outlet.Putting a 67MM Turbine housing on a 65MM turbine is an upgrade as much as putting a hole in your block is an...
There are a number of factors that are impacting this first is that the turbo still has quite a bit of high viscosity assembly lube on the bearings and critical parts that at room temperature will put quite a bit of drag on the bearings. We use standard "metal" bearing cages as they are more...
Hi.Our line will guarantee it gets the oil it needs but if you don't want to spend $100 on ours a unrestricted -4 line fed off the filter housing will work fine.If the turbo fails within the warranty period you will be required to send in your oil line for inspection.-MichaelSent from...
Link will go live tomorrow to be able to pre-purchase the manifold we have around 100 units before Christmas but only 20 units will be sold at the pre-sell pricing of $299.Venture over to our FB page http://www.facebook.com/fpturbos and tomorrow I'll post a link to the product page where you...
We can do a TRBB which will tear it down, clean, inspect, replace gas control rings, and rebalance for $180.Or I could do all of the above and replace it with our billet 76HTA wheel and T04S surge ported cover for $600. The 76HTA wheel is much better suited for that turbine and will meet...

This should improve the signal quality of my exh manifold pressure channel on the M800 without electronic signal conditioning! Running 4 taps into a damper chamber with the sensor instead of only one in the collector is a def improvement in data acquisition!
I think I responded to this already in e-mail but first off all you need to confirm that what you're experiencing is actually surge. Most people have never really experienced compressor surge especially on 4G63's and usually they are misdiagnosed.Compressor surge feels like boost/fuel cut and...
Yup we were selling them 1 for $15 or 2 for $25 and I don't know about any special cotton, they were all Gildan.I feel like I'm missing a stoner joke or something.-Michael
