Hey, previous owner of 97 GSX and 95 GS-T.Not sure if I want to bite the bullet, but I miss my GSX. Being that the car is so old, not sure if I want to get into another one again. If anything, I might try and restore it and keep it factory like - as much as possible.
If money is an issue now, nothing will change unless you make more. This car is a money pit.I know there are companies that sell gasket kits. Get one of those for the rebuild. Then its your choice if you want performance or OEM or OEM-like internals.
I used leather cleaner for mine and it worked okay. For carpet, they sell those cans with the brush on top. Got rid of a lot but the car was so old I just ended up replacing the carpet instead.
Agreed.Have the car inspected for rust. Replace gaskets. Maybe even rebuild the motor if it has high mileage. Don't go upgrading things and having the car break down. It can be more expensive to fix down the road.
