I am new to ECMLink, please go easy on me.Showing rich (11:1) idle after SD install. Takes a few minutes to idle on its own without feathering throttle/getting it warmed up.Wideband all over the place while cruising. I wired my wb into my rear02 for narrow band sim, wasn't sure if my front...
Could be a lot of things. You're going to have to inspect the drivetrain and suspension parts. I would start with checking all of your suspension bushings.
There is a place in the area of MachV if you are willing to drive a little further out. It's where I got my machine work done. Bring donuts.http://www.mdrengines.com/machining.aspx
I have disconnected my radio and disabled the alarm according to this thread: http://www.dsmtuners.com/members/thefallen.143901/No remote starter.I am about to rip out my aftermarket gauge cluster to re-wire just to rule this out. But I have gone through it more than once already, maybe...
Pretty certain. I just recently replaced my main ground cables. I also added one from the block to the firewall. I don't remember what my coil pack ground looks like, you wouldn't happen to have a picture I could reference would you? I have my coil pack in a weird spot because of the SMIM I am...
The problem: On a full charge battery, tested & fully charged the engine struggles to crank over. After sitting for any amount of time the battery drains fairly quickly. So far, I have confirmed that my alt is healthy and charges 13+ while running. Battery is good, tested and charged up.The...
I have a small oil leak coming from the switch which was probably damaged when I dropped the motor in. I was wondering if it would be possible to share one of the leads off of the pressure sending unit in order to provide the warning light indication? It seems the light switch is just a pressure...
Just hit 1,000 miles on this build. So far so good. :hellyeah:My only gripe about this 2.3 is that it feels like it runs out of gear in 5th around 70 mph. Would like to get a longer? 5th gear swapped in.
O2 cycles on startup, then after a while it stops? I cant make sense of this. When it cycles I am getting good A/F readings. New logs attached. Ignore Baro I added that on accident. Meant to add MDP to value. Still cant seem to nail town my ISC position, when its idling high front O2 cycles...
Got the wideband hooked up and enabled narrowband simulation according to that it idles at 15:7 ish. Not sure why the gauge shows 20. It's running off same controller box. Unless it's the way I assigned the pin. I used standard aem pin assignment option. Isc position is now floating around 30...
Still waiting on a logging box for my WB, but the new IAC motor did fixed my idle problem. What I am seeing now is that I am not staying in closed loop mode on startup. It starts in closed loop then after a few minutes it switches into open loop and stays there. I swapped in the front o2 with a...
SOB,,,, took my throttle body off last night to inspect and double check everything and my IAC is showing a failing (17 ohms) coil when I tested pins 3 & 4. Turns out this was the original IAC. Hopefully my replacement arrives tomorrow.
Thank you for the help guys, I appreciate it. I will work on getting my WB signal hooked up as soon as I can, and add the additional values I need to the log views, etc.:thumb:
Alright guys, please go easy on me. Just got link installed and only had enough time to pull a few logs before I started pissing off my neighbors. Totally new to tuning with ECMLink, aside from what ive read and watched. I am after any useful information that can be obtained from my brief logs...
IC. Before you go pulling the engine or drilling anything spray/soak them down with some penetrating fluid and try to back them out with something. They might be easy to back out if they snapped relatively recently. What was the method for compensating for the AC bracket space? That may have had...
All you should need to do is pull your intake manifold or drop your exhaust to get at those bolts. Probably better to drop the exhaust though if you still have AC?
Performed the swap over the weekend, very happy with results. Only thing is I am getting a check engine light now with the P1500 code. Using the 3 wire pigtail but only have the sense wire and (L)? wire hooked up to the black/yellow. Just looking for a way to satisfy the ecu/cel. Heard something...

Yeah, I don't think that makes much difference where the cable is on the starter bolt or the block. The throttle body ground? Not sure what you mean here, got a picture? I have one small ground cable that was attached to my old intake manifold for radio interference? That one is not connected...
My ground cable goes from the battery to the block and then I have a cable that goes from that point to the body. New cables, good connections, etc. Would adding one to the body from the battery make any difference here?
These are the belts to use if you are running an ATI Super Damper (part number: 918251) & Jay Racing Alternator Relocation Kit combo.Power Steering/Water Pump - Belt: DAYCO 5040457 (Perfect fit)OEM Style Alternator - Belt: DAYCO 5040340 (Tension adjustment bar is half way from full...
Battery @ start: 12.8v
Starts and runs great at first, then voltage starts to drop to 12.0 then 11 then 10+/- then it starts to idle like sh** and cuts out. No voltage change when I rev, it just falls.
First was OEM, second was a re-maned Galant alt, and now another brand new f'n OEM alt is going out on me.What the hell is going on with this shit. The alt was running before a recent motor rebuild, which previously was literally like a month old. Currently running a Jay Racing relocation kit...
Finally, after a couple weekends of beating my head against the wall I re-calibrated my TPS to .9k ohms and viola. Took it around the block a few times with zero issues :applause:. Still need to tidy up a few things but this DSM is off jack stands. Can't believe how something like the TPS being...
I was planning on coming out to watch you run over that weekend but wasn't able to make it. Definately an awesome piece of DSM racing history being made right here. :thumb:
Hope to make it out next time you're at Summit.
Having trouble finding a straight answer on this. I am eventually switching over to ecmlink but am currently only looking to replace my MAP sensor setup. To be clear, NOT my MAS/MAF setup, yet. What is required in doing the GM 3 bar MAP changeover/install? Can it just be wired/spliced into the...
Updates: Where do I begin...I have been chasing gremlins since my last update, but truth be told I just got back from taking some time off so I didn't spend any time on things last week. Over the weekend I was able to inspect the driveline to try and find the source of the groaning? sound. I...
First oil change looked good. The oil was very clean. Still working out some bugs. Need an opinion on this noise, misfire?EDIT: Swapped plugs & wires, still makes that ticking sound, then pulled the connector for # 4 injector and it went away. The sound seems to fade out if I give it a little...
Dude, I wasn't expecting it to start at all. I was shocked at how quick it roared to life. Crazy how different it is compared to my stock setup. It acts like it's a beastly V8, ROFLI ended up throwing the exhaust dp on last night in preparation for the first set of ring seat runs. It will be...
