:confused:OK here goes... I'm looking at buying a '94 Galant GS for cheap $$$. I currently have a '91 GSX sitting in a pile in storage. Will the Galant's 2.4L dohc 4 banger accept performance upgrades from my turbo-ed 4G63 motor? If so, can you tell me what upgrades it will accept and is it...
ok everyone out there in dsm land . . . i just totalled my baby - '91 gsx http://www.dsmtuners.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=8740&password=&sort=2&thecat=500
and have an opportunity to pick up a complete and running '91 gs with one bad cylinder for 600 bucks. my question is . . .how hard...
ok, before everyone gets fukking ignorant about motegi rims - i love my rims - clean and simple and really easy to clean. so what if you can get them at pep boys it's a fukking rim and it holds the tire just as well as all the others - sorry i didn't pay 250 - 400 a wheel...
sounds like your gear for that head light skipped a few teeth - was anyone sitting or leaning on it when the lights were turned on. try turning the gear when the lights are off to close the weepy door, that's imo check the haynes manual or chiltons for more info
ok in reference to dimples on a golf ball and the rate of speed and how you hit it ... then explain how come you can get tragectory changes on a ping pong ball (smoother than baby's balls) that is travlling no fast than say 20 mph off the paddle???just my .02
i hope this qualifies for this forum but if you have to move it, so be it.what is the standard tool used for porting say exhaust manifolds, O2 housings, and the such? can a dremel be used for this or should this be done with airtools?can anyone please advise?
hey i was under the imnpression that a 2G tb elbow was almost 2.25" vs the 1G elbow of 1.5"
is this true - i called SATAN to see how much an oem elbow for a 2G was and he asked for what car - i told him '95 - '99 - then a momoent later he says - wait it doesn't matter they're the same part...
you should be able to shake off the 13's with a 2.5" dp and test pipe - but if your prone to getting hooked on power, just go with the 3" dp also and port the hell out of your manny/turbo/o2 sensor. they're usually about the same price anyways.i have a stock dp into a high flow 2.5" cat into...
the oinly prob with this muffler is it's not avail in 3" inlet and they'll have a helluva hard time stretching 2.25" out to 3.25 without cracking to allow your main pipe from the cat if you go 3"
well he wrote down 18204 but looking at the site i think it's the 14828 - maybe he's dyslexic - either way he did a hell of a job and it's nice and throaty not like that mommy boy's lil civic up the street.check out my pics
hey man i got a magnaflow #18204 (3'" into 4") and it is immediately before the tip - asctually the tip is the part of the muffler and the hole going into the tip is 4" - i'm running a 2.5" high flow cat then 3" all the way through the muffler and i had no resonators or anything like that...
mbc, thanks. i'm planning on gettin one of those also - i have the boost gauge just not installed yet - having probs there tooanyone else have ideas?
thanks
ok everyone i need some help!
-- even tho the factory boost gauge is total shiznit, it's reading roughly 11 - 12 lbs of boost at full throttle (again i know that it's not very reliable).
-- with the mods i have listed below, what's the highest boost i can get out of a stock 14b and what...
ok, i think i might have verbalised this wrong . . . i think what i wanted to ask is . . . with the mods i have listed and after i get hard u/l ic pipes do i have to worry about fuel pressure not being substantial - at what point is my pump not going to be sufficient?
MODS: removed air can...
yeah i'm going to go that route, i also have a boost gauge but i think i have the wrong size hose (ie. 1/8"d hard plastic inste4ad of 1/4"rubber) not sure if that's part of the original kit and can't find a link that shows the hard plastic in the install guide.
now that that's said...
with the following mods:
removed air can, K&N filter, bored out boost solenoid, polished throttle body intake, 2G exhaust manny and o2 housing, 2.5" highflow cat, custom bent 10g 3" cat back, magnaflow exhaust 3" in 4" out, 8mm wires, Bosch +2 plugs.i'm looking...
check the hoses going into the solenoid inside the engine comp.they ahve a tendancy to swell form oil or even harden and break off the little nipples on the cruise box under the cable junction on the firewall. if they did harden or swell, either replace them or if you have enough line left just...
laserrst - they are actually motegi mr7's 17x7 with 40mm offset.
airpoppoff and drziplok - sorry bout not posting in the susp forum.but anyways, thanks everyone for the advice. i always consider tires as the one major performance upgrade everyone should need. what good is a fast car if...
hey guys, and gals out there. i was debating on getting wide tires for my ride going between dunlop sp sport a2's in 215/50/17 and ventus k2's in 245/45/17 - they were both around the same price but i was worried about shaving the inside walls of the wider tires. does anyone out the have 245's...

i just got a boost gauge (autometer pro-comp ultra lite 2 1/16") but it didn't come with installation instructions. i think i have all the parts. does anyone have a schematic or can anyone send me a link as to where to find install instructions? please help me...
dude i got a 3" mandrel bent cat back with a dynamax 2.5" cat and magnaflow (very inexpensive) exhaust (3" in and 4") out and it sounds awesome real low and very throaty. my buddy has a dodge ram with a full 3" cat back and complimented mine!!!
i have done all the free mods to increase the amount of boost i was getting from my factory turbo setup. i'm still using the factory boost gauge. i went from roughly 10 / 11 psi up to about 13 / 14 with the mods listed in my profile.:D i did the mods about 4 months ago and it was runnin great...
 i'm new to the forum and am having intermittent problems with my eclipse. occasionally after shifting, sometimes in 1st gear, sometimes 2nd, even 3rd, but never 4th or 5th, my car seems to be lacking some serious engine to wheel power. the engine will be running ok and the rpms will...
