I still have not got this shortblock built either."Michael at FP" I've heard your name come up in various conversations just like that lol. You seem to have a really good rep.
If you're serious, make a reasonable offer and it is probably yours sir.I might put in the gsx. Is the Zt-2 OB1 compatible? I didn't think to check that until just this second :ohdamn:.
If not I'll probably just put it into my miata or Gvr4 if I ever put an engine in it.
Off of a friend. For practically nothing. I could always sell it for more. :thumb:I have the boost sensor, wideband, egt, and the lcd screen that displays everything with it.
I was just thinking about managing afr's with it. But then again I guess i'm just looking for away not to by link...
I just bought myself a zeitronix zt-2 wideband/afr. It looks like a pretty neat little device. Has Pretty much every gauge you need. Has anyone on here ever used one to tune their dsm? And if so would you recommend using it?
Haha I've already had my 240 stage. I still have a rwd car. A miata. (Its ok to laugh lol) Which is getting boosted soon. Its alot of fun.Sayaovang dsm- Appreciate all the info. I did check out that forum. I really wanted the station for its rarity, but I ended up delaying the trade and the...
I have the opportunity to trade my 1g gsx (which is in amazing shape) for an 88 starion. The station isn't in bad shape, has LSD, Clearwater cylinder jet, and a few other mods. Its a 5 speed 2.6L. The trade comes with everything to 4g63 swap the starion.I need opinions. Would you make the...
I'm not afraid to touch wiring. I've done everything on both my dsms and my gvr4 so far. Just wondering if anyone knew about another relay or something to help narrow my search down. Troubleshooting is the worst. So far I found out, that with the driverside tail light pigtail unplugged the...
So yesterday my blinkers, hazards, and brake lights quit working. The turn lamps fuse under the dash keeps blowing, along with the brake light fuse and hazards fuse underneath the hood. The blinkers also do not light up on the gauge cluster. My headlights and tailights still work.I've...
Yes it clicks. I changed it out with another one earlier today. And I've heard people say the fuel pump.primes with the key on the acc. Then I've had other people tell me its the cas the primes the pump by sending pulses when you crank the car. Then something about after .6 sec it'll shut the...
I've seen that in a couple of forums, not sure what the check connector looks likeNever mind. Its the box on the firewall by the battery that has a black and white wire, right? How do I use this to check the fuel pump? I feel pretty dumb at the moment.
I've been trying to get my 90 gsx running. Swapped in a new engine and I'm not getting fuel past the pump, or at least not to the fuel filter. I changed the fuel pump with a used one that was in the backseat. No luck. I also changed the mpi relay. Still nothing changed. When I turn the key I do...
Well I already unblocked them, and installed the Turbo water pump pipe ( i had on a n/a one so I wouldn't have a water line). I would just like to go ahead and run them.
I'm turning my 1g gsx into my daily for since I wrecked my rs. I've been running a Tdo4e and am going back to the stock 14b. I have all the stock lines and oil return, just needs to know what connects to where. The only one i know where it connects is the oil line that bolts up to the head.Ive...
I'm going to give the full story what I've been doing the past couple of days.I wrecked my rs which was my daily driver. I had two gsx project cars at the house. One a 90, the other a 91. The 90 had a blown engine, the 91 was completely taken apart. So i Pulled the motor out of the 91 and...
If its your only car or your daily, go with maintenance like everyone said. If you have another car or two you could do what I am doing and rebuild your awd with forged internals and a head to match it. Study the tech guide posted above and do enough research to learn what you actually want to...
Watts shop is where I was considering going before I posted this. I was also thinking T1 for tuning. Its more pricey but I've heard great things about Tony and his tuning.
Appreciate the links! Ill check out the places.I would rather not get a crate motor (although it would be pretty cool to be able to just drop a motor in) since I already have a new block, new crank, forged pistons and rods. I still need to get head componets and cams for the power I want...
I doubt he meant a 4g63 swap. I think he meant to buy a dsm with a 4g63 in it. Which you can find for cheap, depending on what condition it is in. That being said I agree with wanting to see more 420a turbos. One of the main reason I joined this site is that its more 420a friendly than the...
I'm needing my motor rebuilt for my 90 gsx. I have everything I need, I just need to find a good shop that knows about dsm's to build it. Preferably one that isn't over the top expensive. I only need the short block built. I would rebuild it myself but this is going to be a race motor and I...
I found my n/a Eclipse in no riced out condition what so ever, but I know what you mean. Every other n/a dsm I see in town usually has racing stripes, or is painted 30 different colors.
Yea I was thinking the hx35 would help me reach my HP goals. Didn't know how well it would work for me doing autoX though. I think I'm going to go with the hx35 and get adjustable timing gears like you said. Still weighing the options though.Would it be better to lower how much power I want...
Hey guys, I am now the proud owner of a 90gsx that is not running:hellyeah:. Picked it up for $1000. The previous owner says that it has a bad oil ring. There's oil in the #3 chamber so this is probably true. Along with the gsx I received a new block and crank. The block has been honed, aligned...
Free Mitsubishi Car Manuals: 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse (2G) Electrical Wiring Schematic Diagramhttp://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/newbie-forum/288772-dsm-factory-service-manuals-download.htmlHopefully one of these links can help you. I couldn't find that specific diagram by itself.
Autozone and O'Reileys will tell you what code your car is throwing for free. I imagine other autoparts stores will too, but I've never tried anywhere else.
I have to Phoenix gold 12's with a box I built to fit in the wedge of the hatch right behind the backseat. They're pointed to the back glass too and they can hit pretty hard. I would suggest getting a bass adjuster knob that runs from your amp. I installed mine on the bottom of the dash to where...
Photoshop is actually pretty easy to use. You can use the wand tool to highlight an area (makes a dotted line around it), then go to replace color in one of the task bars on top of the screen. Then You can mess with color schemes until you find a color you like. If that doesn't make sense I'm...
You have a different year and a different model than I do, but on mine it runs through the boot, into the car, then to the fuse box. Then the speaker wires go underneath the steering and into the back of where the radio goes. I see no white bracket. But then again I have no clue what the...
I live in Tyler, and there is practically no dsm's at all. I was wondering if anyone lived close by or ever comes down this way. It'd be cool to have a meet.
I would check the service Manuel for your car if you have one. Some recommend ATF fluid for power steering because of has a higher boiling point. And yes the belt can cause a whine. Mine is currently doing that, but I snapped my tensioner bolt, so i can't fix it til I find another bolt lol.
Can you post a pic of the boot you're talking about? Sounds like you're talking about the rubber piece that is by the hinges of the door. Is that right?
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/newbie-forum/375410-installing-hid-fog-lights.htmlThis might help you. Don't know if there's any wiring differences between the different years or not though.
It can also whine if it is over filled. I've made that mistake before.
But since you bleed it, there can still be air in the lines. Bleed the air out by revving the engine to about 1500-2000 rpms and turning the steering wheel almost all the way from one side to the other a few times. This...
My bad. I didnt know that. There's a build somewhere on this site where a guy put an srt4 in his n/t and he was planning on calling it gsr-4. That's where the mixup happened.
