Me personally I prefer to use the assembly lube when mating new surfaces together. If you were gonna put old cams back in, oil would be fine. But either way you will be fine. I truly think its more of a preference. What ever feels right to you. Assembly lube is what the company recommends. Now...

Well at that point there is three possibilities. 1. Check plug at power transistor. 2. Transistor may be bad itself. And 3. The ecu may be bad.

It is possible. But in all honesty I would hold on to that money, sell your NT. Buy a gsx or Tsi awd and put what money you have left over into some basic bolt on mods.

Yeah sounds like an ecu problem. There has been many cases like yours where the head gets removed with out disconnecting the battery first.

It would be good for us to know if your headlights work at all and if headlights and blinkers went out at same time or different occasions. But I would start with fuses and turn signal flasher.

Sounds like you might possibly have a boost leak somewhere. Or maybe the Turbo is seizing. Have you ran any tests?

I had a similar problem with it dumping coolant from right there and it turned out to be a blown head gasket and the head was extremely warped. The Guy I bought it from tried running into the ground I guess.

First things first. Have your buddy drive your car and follow him and YOU verify what color smoke is coming out your exhaust.

Check for any type of small leaks. With the canister located under the battery tray, it may have gotten some battery acid on it somewhere.

You might want to run a pressure test on it. Because there is a possibility that you may have a pin hole leak somewhere. Or you may not have burped the coolant system correctly and could still have air pockets in your system causing it to push fluid out. And if there is a small leak somewhere...
