Ok let me make this clear. U have a 420a engine mounted on the right side of the bay. 6 and 7 bolts are4g63 regardless of na or turbo. It wont fit without modification to the frame rails and mounts. And the one person known to do it spent thousands of dollors and had extensive welding skills...
Woooi slow down. U want to put a 4g63 in. Do u know what thats gonna take... search the forms and ull find its not easy
I love my gs for daily driving but dont think the pain is worth the swap. You clearly need to di more research.
There is a ground block on the firewall by he throttle body thathas the ground for coil. His happend to me when i tucked my harness. I left the bolt finger tight and it would not start till i rtightend it. Good luck
We don't have to worry about inspections or what not for the cat. No smog here. We just have such a vaque law on exhaust it gives the cops free right to profile. So I need a little more low key. So would 2 19 inch resonators fit from were thecat was to the axle?
Ok so I got hit by the sound police last night and got slaped with a 300$ ticket. So I need to quiet things up a bit. I'm currently running a 2.5 catless with a dc muffler and glasspack. What can I do to help. Maybe different muffler. Still wanna have some attitude but not so loud. Will a...
well i figured it out. All the wires are differently marked. I just had to look realy close. And i was relocating it inside the cab so i had room to start fabbing up some of my turbo kit im putting together. The ecu was in the way of how i wanted to route it. But thanks for the link to the...
I was in the middle of relocating my ecu inside while doing a wire tuck. my problem is that i lost track of the wires after some of my tags fell off. :banghead: SO my first question is, does anyone have a complete engine harness diagram showing wire colors? Also what is the difference between a...
I have noticed in alot of my costomers cars that if they switched to synthetic or simi syn after useing conventional there would be pros and cons. But the biggist thing i see after switching is oil leaks. Over time dirt and carbon clogs seals and prevents leaks. Most synthetics or blends usualy...
HAHA aint that the truth, well ill see what i can do tomarrow sence its my day off. Might just put off buying a bov for my kit im building to do the front end. Might aswell have a safe good suspension befor i turbo. thanks for all your help everyone...
Ive tried to make friends with them, but after getting the wrong parts over and over again. Or not getting a dilivery for like 8 hours when we are one of 3 shops in the area, its kinda hard not to. I do have 1 hook up there but its hard to get ahold of him because of the new managment that took...
srry didnt mean to jump on you like that. Anyways. I knew it was a ball joint and after getting it up in the air today I found the left lateral boot torn. YAY.. the cheap one. No play yet, just dry. So i just greased it with a needle. Bad news is I called the stealership and ran my vin. Recall...
Ok maybe i should have used a different word. But I Am A ASE CERT mechanic, work 12 hours a day at a shop. So yes i know its a ball joint. I know how to check them. I just have to wait till tomarrow till i get to work to check them. WHICH IS WHY I ASKED FOR PRICING NOT A HOW TO TELL. So much...
I usualy try to stay away from ebay. When it comes to chassis parts i perfer mogg. I guess ill call the stealership tomarrow aswell to see if the recall has been done on mine or not. Even if its not the lateral thats bad. I might as well do both if i can get it for free.. haha
So today after a wash and a good detail of my eclipse, I took her for a spin to the gas station. Pulled into a parking spot and heard the dreadful sqreach of a worn ball joint. Not sure of what one yet. Ill get her up in the air at work tomarrow. My ? is who knows of a fast cheap place to get...
Did you ensure that you bled all the air out of the system. Including the heater core. Also check that the cap is holding pressure. The pressure is what keeps the boiling point so high..
it may not be the clutch itself. check to see if you busted a clutch line. or that your master and slaves are working fine... it takes alot for a normal person to destroy a upgraded clutch. and unless your my wife its not gonna happen over night. my bet is hydrolics
this is most deffinently your hvac. just find the black box and look to see if its the core or the heater hoses, then replace what ever is bad. good luck
dont just look inside the door pannals. look at the harness that goes between the door in the rubber boot. thats a common pintch point. the boot can wear and cause wires to chafe. if you still dont find any wiring problems id look at the heater core as i mentioned above. good louck
under your dash is a black box were your blower motor is. that is were your heater core is located. pull off the black pannals and start the car with heat on high. look for leaks(coolant) or use a cooling system pressure tester.
the stock 2g shifter is the same in all 2g 5speeds. the fan will work but not sure of the wire conections or how it mounts. might need alittle customization
check the backing plate that the parking brake shoes are attatched to. If it is bent it can be rubbing on the rotor. some times this only happens around corners as the hub will flex slightly..
Imo the f1 is junk... thats why i dnt buy off ebay... Anyways, i would check the clutch fork. Then check to make sure that the slave is working properly. just have someone push the clutch and watch to see if its moving.
Personaly id throw on the 97+ rail stick with the fpr at the tank. NO dont run 2 fpr. they will conflict with each other. atleast with the 97+ system where the fpr is its easy to add fmu and aftermarket fpr and keep the engine bay clutter down. plus imo its the most reliable setup.. But if you...
He said his fpr is by the tank. Meaning that its a 97+ year system. and he has a 95-96 rail. someone mostlikly swaped the rail with injectors for some reason. You would be suprised on some of the half a**ed stuff i run into at work on things kids think they know how to tune:hellyeah:
I can take some pics at work tomarrow if i remember. And a local speed shop had a flange sitting around. so i traded some ss 3" exhaust pipe for it. good find i think.. And i know i have alot of maint. to do. Thats why Im planning a seperate built motor. This to is my new dd. I have to fix some...
Hey you live by eldora... thats awsome because I go there in the summers for the kinds royal. Yes i will need one soon. Im looking to do a low comp build. JE pistons 8.8-1. not sure on rods yet. Probly eagle h beams. I already built my own turbo mani outa titainium pipe i had left at work...
Hello, my name is Jeremiah. Just back from afcrapistan. ROFL found a good deal on a 2gnt. I use to tune 4g63 like 8 years ago. and wow alot hasnt changed in the dsm world. So I thought Id try something I havnt done. Get a 2gnt and turbo it. Im in the research and planning stage right now...
Depends, do you have adjustable cam gears or the stockers? If yours are aftermarket then it may only be a few degrees at most. SO you might not notice and vac advance. and compression can go both ways depending on the tune and cam timing. Let use know what you find tomarrow. Id be glade to help.
