I plan on switching to ecmlink full but I will have to change the whole harness due to the guy hacking it installing this standalone... Thanks for the info... My car is far from stock and I believe would only set me back going back to maf... It is tunable just doesnt have a system for knock..
I have been told by a couple guys I can wire my knock sensor to my stock boost gauge to detect knock.. I have a standalone Wolf v4 3d ecu which is an older unit and does not have a parameter to detect knock.. I plan on changing my ecu to ecmlink full after I work out all the bugs, But would like...

ok... Thanks anyway... The wolf program has Rev limit, with option for spark and fuel cut or both, it also has idle lock, idle speed, closed loop, and boost control, but no launch control...so I have to use the msd unless I change the ecu which im not willing to do now...Bump... Need help...
Is anyone familiar with setting up 2 step on the MSD dis 2 part#6211? I'm not sure and I cant find any manuals or other helpful helpful info... Im trying to get it done before I go to the track tommarrow... Any info would be much appreciated...
As long as you don't mind running real rich then I would say no. I do it all the time but it loads up real easy so don't baby it as much as you normally would...

So 91 &92 Gvr4s were not assembled in IL. I thought they were seeing how they made 15 gvr4's that were not badged because they were used as promotional cars, dealer cars, ect...
I dont think grinding would come from timing jump. It would make a couple thumps until u bent the valves enough to drop the cylinder. Can you pinpoint the sound? Top or Bottem?
I Believe that its 2 things, 1 is definitly the valve seal and the other is the turbo seal. If there is oil on either side of turbo at the inlet or the 02 housing then the appropiate seal should be at fault. As far as the oil in the #2 port, its the valve seal for sure...
I feel stupid asking this question but i was in a friendly argument with a friend and he has me second guessing myself... Is the 91-92 galant vr4 considered a DSM? What all cars are considered DSM's? I know this is a no brainer but i could'nt find the answer i want.. :confused:
I would use MatriX paint. It sprays awesome and its not that exspensive($200-275 gal) depending on your dealer. I have used this paint for years and it always turns out awesome...
Check timing first, then cam timing( assuming they are adjustable),Then a compression test. Did You lap the valves when u swapped them?Also, what plugs are you running? I had this same problem and it turned out to be plugs and the valves would'nt ceet properly... I changed to NGK's and...
I for one will stand by Clevite brand parts... I'm not 100% about their tensioners but I've been using their other products for years and have never had a problem with quality of the product...

The tranny itself feels awesome and the rod is not bent, I will thread it back in a bit to see if it is blocking anything.. I don't know if this has anything to do with it but it is a 2g with a 6 bolt swap... I think its the length of the adjustment rod... Thanks for the input guys...I went...
My clutch has about 1in of travel that actually does anything.. It has a stage 2 act clutch and flywheel... Ive chaged the slave cylinder and ajjusted the pedal all the way out... Still the same result and now that i chaged the slave cylinder and bled everything it wont go into reverse while...

I would first check the fuel injection... Start at the shrader vavle on the fuel rail, with the key in the on position use something small to push in the needlevavle in... The fuel should hit the hood if it has correct fuel pressure... If it seems weak than I would check the filter and pump..

So I just picked up this 95 talon tsi... I paid 4k for it knowing there was alot of work to come... For the most part its a solid car with a 2.3 stroker with 6k on the motor and trans... The receipts say it has a stage 3 trans and clutch... It had a .70 trim turbonetics turbo, s/s tubular...
