    auto vs manual engine mounts

I went from a auto to a manual and.the prothane kit I bought did not fit my front or rear mounts. The rear mount has too big of a hole for the new insert and the front was just completely different.

No spark in 1 & 4 So Confused Please help

Make sure you swapped a 1998 computer into the car. With a 1997 computer you will have to switch a wire pin to a new location for the one coil and altenator.

    420A 2gNT ecu

The crankshaft sensor controls the timing of spark and the camshaft sensor controls the timing of the injectors. The computer does not need flashed but depending on what year the ecu is you might have to swap a couple wires around to make it work. Do you know which year ecu you bought.

    worth getting a tune?

It's well worth tuning and its the perfect opportunity to start getting some hands on and learning something about tuning yourself. Get a wideband and start tinkering its the only way to learn there are plenty of people on here to help with questions.

    2G Headliner re-cover?

I used 3m super 77 spray adhesive with no problems. Pull the headliner out lay your new fabric over it and trim to size but leave enough to wrap around onto the backside. Spray the old headliner let it get tacky the lay the new fabric over it and work the wrinkles out. Spray some on the back...

White Smoke / Car Is Smoking White [Merged 7-9]

Oil leaks in the engine bay will not cause smoke out of your exhaust. I would also agree try a compression test and see where you stand. White is usually water.

    SAFC-II Worth the Hassle

I ran one for a couple years and it worked but it is nowhere close to being the most efficient way of tuning. If you already have one it would not hurt to use it while you ultimately save for something better. Safc, palm, mmcd program, and a cable to hook into your diagnostic port.

    squeaking sound at low speeds

Does it make the sound when you turn the steering wheel side to side. Mine was making a horrible sound and it turned out to be a rip in the balljoint boot that allowed water and grime to get in. It made a metal to metal sound when driving and turning.

Congrats on the purchase and welcome to the site car looks nice.
  24. lumberjackracing

    New To Mitsu

Make sure timing belt and other maintenance has been done first of all. With some pretty simple mods the car will easily run those times. As far as mods it depends on how far you want to go. Get a 14b something to tune with and look into the fuel system along with mods listed above.
  25. lumberjackracing

What cams and springs to use!

The cams don't have anything to do with limiting you to 23 lbs of boost.

    BOV make me run lean?

Is it not recirculated? If it is its not sucking outside air it is just sucking already metered air from your intake.

I rebuilt my old 16g and it was cheap and easy its well worth the effort versus buying a new turbo.

Would a cyclone be worth this price.

Just build your engine the way you want and like someone said 0miles.
  36. lumberjackracing

I would check your timing and if its off reset it. It's worth a try instead of just pulling the head.

Axle Seized In Hub... I'm Going NUTS!

Parts are so easy to find guys why not replace the whole thing and be done with the headache LOL. I did it on my 2g I just went to a junk yard and replaced the whole assembly for cheap.

    Downpipe Help!

I would agree with the EVO lll housing you may have to modify the downpipe some or get a regular 1g o2 housing.
  46. lumberjackracing

    Overboosting 14b

I would say you need to pull the Turbo and check it out. then possibly a compression test to make sure you haven't damaged the motor.
  47. lumberjackracing
