I apologize for the editing. Posting updates on my phone and I try to go back and edit them but never turns out the way I intend. May have to start using the laptop.
Almost up to date to what I've been up to this winter. This last spring and summer I got the car alot closer to my end goals along with fixing little things along the way.Tuned it enough to run a quarter mile on the street with lowish boost 27-28 psi. Ran an [email protected] too bad...
So I'm almost caught up with being current on the build. When I put it together I had a 2gb automatic set up ready to go but being a manual car originally with a brand new Jack's trans and very slightly used clutch I figured putting it together and teaching myself ecmlink tuning with a manual...
Unfortunately I don't have many pics from throwing all my parts at it but it got the old buschur block and headJm fabrication race smim.Ets 3.5" race intercooler and piping.Morrison consolidated top mount t4 with the s369Fic 2150 injectors, magnafuel pump, 10 an feed and 8 an return with...
Wooh that was alot of reading. Mostly agree with your assessment but I'm in more of a "stock sucks" type person. Anything you can do to improve the efficiency of your engine can only help in almost all regards.
I believe this was 2019 got the car home and originally planned to just fix the head gasket and drive it while I slowly learned ecmlink and add some of the parts I had accumulated.Head gasket was definitely the issue. Unfortunately I didnt like the heavy scores in the cylinder walls. Luckily I...
1) Street ability and being fast is very subjective to the owner. For argument sake I'm going to say as fast as modern entry level stock sports cars. So 350-400 ish2)with a 400 hp goal I would go with eagle rods and I prefer weisco pistons but any forged piston would probably be fine...
Found this car off the classifieds on here, better yet it was local. Had a 2.3 motor, a fresh Jack's transmission and a few bolt ons. Blown head gasket and lost interest led me to getting it for i believe 1800 dollars.
Hello every one this first one may be a little long as I introduce myself ( I'm levi ) and give a back history on my ins and outs with these cars. Very long time lurker here without many posts. I'll try my best to remember and fill in gaps to where the current car is now.Honestly i had just...
40 miles or so north of you and between work and family I don't have much spare time to lend a hand but always willing to answer questions or help in any way I can.
Agreed on the stance / stretched tires and somewhat on the bumper, hood and fender exit exhausts, hate them for being unnecessary on slow cars and hate them on fast cars that claim "street car"
Another one which I was guilty of in my first eclipse at 15 yrs old was painting all the interior...
It's pretty easy to use and it's pretty forgiving but I just can't do the double contours of the back bumper with out wrinkles. Every other part of the car is a breeze though.
I've thought about doing a gt500 hood vent. Here's what they look like https://www.cjponyparts.com/ford-hood-insert-gt500-2010-2014/p/HDSI14/?year=2005&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIq_a32YK35wIVbiCtBh3gZwJ_EAQYASABEgKhEfD_BwE
ouch, it sucks to hear about the subframe since I have one on order and didn't file a report in the first 6 months. glad you got it together though. good luck at the shoot out.
I delivered my car stripped with just driver seat and it cost me $1650. that's with 1.5" x .120 wall DOM tubing, ERW tubing would of course be a lot cheaper. sounds expensive but your gonna be around that even if you buy a cage kit and than pay someone to put it in.
I just got my car back from ryan from roninmotorsport dot com and I'm very happy with it. Fits super tight with the interior and he can build to what ever specs you want.
