Atleast being on SD should be able to see from before and after logs right? I mean you'll be able to see the air going in between shifts right? Just a curious question, in my head sounds right lol
I'm with DSMPT in saying definitely something to do with the starter. I would also check voltage to battery and starter/ connection to starter. Also if he still has the old starter and it worked try swapping it out since its an easy swap. I've had new starters crap out before if its a cheapy.

I think what your wanting is what ludachris has. I've seen others do it and I've wanted to do it. Look at ludachris pictures. Cut the arm that goes arond the motor, on the 1g mounts and weld a cap to the open hole.
Well that is odd, do you have any junkyard around where you live. If so I would stop by and see if there is one with the switch. Most of the time stuff like that is very cheap.
