Yes, I have the starter plate. I tried adjusting the pedal first. I did not expect that I would have to shim anything however that was not the case. I used RRE as my main resource. Step height is .609 and is a new LUK flywheel for a 4g64. Measuring the clutch fork position, it was way beyond...
I just learned this week that a stock 4g64 crank with a stock 4g64 flywheel and spacers, requires shimming, at lease in my case where I have a clutch masters fx400 with hd pp. I ended up using a .050" (1.27mm) flywheel shim and put 2.5mm shim behind the pivot ball. Without the shims, I was...
Ooo. No bueno. You can get a helicoil brand thread repair kit at any Oreilly auto parts. It's a m14 spark plug repair kit. Every Oreilly should have one in stock.
Use arp torque lube. I've been building engines with it for a few years and it work great. Use it in threaded areas and contact points for accurate torque readings.
Sup folks. Good to see such a following.
I just found the love of dsm. I live in cut and shoot Texas and posses a black 93 eagle talon es 5 speed. I'm in the process of a mild build with plans for expansion.
And actually, I was looking for a 7 bolt crank.
Glad to be a probie. I hope to...
Yeah. For my almost 10 years in the oats business I have sold both gates and conitech. They are both great products. they have high standards and most of their respective products exceed oem. I prefer to use conitech on German vehicles, and gates on everything else. Theres something bout the...
Man, I called secret service to ask about a tune for a 4g64 (per my clients request since he didn't want to spend on a link) and the guy on the phone didn't know what I was talking about. Maybe he was new help or something. Although, mine was a bad experience, I still hear people recommend them...
I'm still waiting on some regrinds to come back from Cali but I fly out to Springfield for a week long training for my company. Don't think they'd like it if I back out heh.
I'll take the 64 if you can't get rid of it. I'll put an Evo head on it. Did it to one of my clients 3G spider. I built a mean motor out of that 64. I told him just to get a 63 and I'd put a 2.3 stroker together but he wanted to through some $$$ at that motor so I said whatever.
I'm trying to be the fastest n/a. I just want to see how hard I can push this motor n/a. When I blow it up, then I'll build a 6 bolt with a ball bearing. Waiting for some regrinds to come back from epwi in Cali. $90 each.
