Did this start happening as soon as you started up/driving your new/built motor? Or is this something that has recently come on? It is possible you line could be kinked, and pushing oil by the turbo seals. Its also possible the seals on the turbine shaft are going bad. Has the turbo ever been...
Most likely alternator related, go get it tested to eliminate that as a possible cause of the problem. Correct me if im wrong but i believe our voltage regulator is built into our alternator and its possible that would cause your lights to dim when your at idle.
You should be fine man maybe bleed the clutch again to make sure that you have no air in the system. Possibly just burned the clutch a little but overall you should be fine.
Back to (wparks) how was the car running before you ever changed your fuel filter/why did u change it? you may have had a bad injector the whole time, and before your old fuel filter was not flowing nearly as much as the new one and now it is only highlighting your problem?
yea if you wanted to try and test the wastegate alone, you can take it off and hook a vacuum line from the wastegate port to a compressed air source (air compressor). if the wastegate arm moves in and out at whatever pressure wastegate you have then it is good, probably something like 12psi...
There is def. A chance that it could be your isc, especially in Pennsylvania. They are expensive though so u may want to try and snag one from the Junkyard first.
to go back to your fuel filter question, it is possible for your car to be starving for fuel bc the fuel filter is clogged. but that doesnt make to much since that it happened all a once and it was running fine. what plugs are you running? and you should not have any problem with spark blowout...
have you tried adjusting the master cylinder underneath the dash on the pedal? if you have alot of play in your pedal before you feel any pressure its possible you could adjust it out a little to get a little more travel? make sure all of the air bubbles are out.
sometimes a higher watt after market bulb may get to hot and possibly do that. I have never seen that and you would think that your fuse would have blown first for them to have gotten that hot. i would try and trace some wiring and see what you can find. maybe go back with stock bulbs?
ok so here is what i have ran into with my ebay exhaust. first i had an apex i n1 full exhaust from the turbo back, then one day driving home a steel plate in the road decided to hit my exhaust and rip/straighten it out. so after that happened i did not want to spend the money on another apex...
well can you tell if it is speed or rpm related? if not then it is most likely something loose under the dash if that is were you think it is coming from. let us know what you find out.
yea seems like you have a slight problem, have looked into something as simple as the maf? did this all of the sudden start or have you been having issues for a while?
Not a bad deal, but to be honest it depends on how much work you are willing to put into it. Assuming your bike runs, you are trading a running vehicle for a non running one. Just my 2 cents.
I love my apexi n1 full 3 inch, quite but aggressive like you said. but loud is all relative, just like (liquidsilver) said if it is a deep sound it does travel, which you will get out of a 3 inch exhaust. the thermal exhaust also has a very nice tone. depends on what you want to spend?
obviously there a ton of flow rate charts and they are all within reason, but i will say that my MHI 18g does have coolant lines and pulls a hell of alot harder than my 16g ever did. Also my spool up time is great i am about 12psi at 3200rpm. I only ran 16psi with my ebay big 16g, and now on the...
yea i had no restrictor in that old ebay 16g so that is prob why it went out so fast. but my mhi 18 has one built in. pulls pretty hard for an 18g, up to 20psi now, just bought some bigger injectors to look for a little more boost.
yes you can continue to run your oil feed line from the oil filter housing, extremepsi sells a stainless steel braided line if it will fit your turbo. but i would be careful running a knockoff. I ran a ebay big 16g and it lasted all of 1000 miles or so before it started blowing oil by the seals.
Ngk bpr7es are a great plug to run that a lot of 4g63's run. My roomate w 420a turbo runs them as well as I do. But the issue he has is that all the new ones have a 13/16 socket on them which is to big to fit down in your spark plug wells. The older bpr7es's were a 5/8 socket and that's what he...
i run the ebay couplers and are holding fine at 20 psi. You just need to make sure that they are re-enforced. But as far as the t bolts go, i agree with everyone else they are much cheaper and break real easy. So you should be fine with just the couplers now that you have good clamps.
very happy with my ebay hids. by "hipro power" i read reviews and made a decision to go with it. they said slim ballast when i bought them but was not. overall good quality and come with everything you need. 6000k very bright. if you want more info let me know. as for suspension, id be careful...
yea man i just bought longer bolts and washers, about 3/8 to 1/2 with 2" drop. i dont remember exactly what i spaced them too but its close to that. i think its gonna take you 4 washers per bolt. there are 4 bolts.
To be honest with you I have that same exhaust manifold. It flows fine but you might want to port the turbo side of it, because the hole is very small depending on the power you want to make. My manifold did crack right at the turbo flange about 6 months ago, with an 18g on it, I took it to an...
not hard to do man. pull it off though because its not worth risking your motor. i just did my 1g tb swap about a month ago, and there was no difference in how it drove.
check your grounds, sounds stupid but by brothers eclipse did a very similar thing after he hit a bump one day. all it was, i helped him clean up the grounds and terminals, no problems since
hey man i made a custom front strut bar that went from both towers then to the fire wall. i chose to do this since i have not seen any other one out there. when i get back home after thanksgiving break ill snap a pic and post it on here to show you. may give you some ideas
