i recently replaced the ECU in my 95 gs (5spd trans) with one from an automatic. now my CEL is on and i have a DTC for no signal from TCM. anybody know how to bypass this code? I figured with the right wiring diagram i could jump power to signal wire from the "TCM" and trick the ECU.
i found this hanging next to the bell housing by the connector. looks like 2 air line ports, a vacuum port and an electrical connector. i have no idea what it is.
so im finishing up some repairs to the body kit and getting ready to start sanding. not sure what color i want to paint it yet, i figured you guys could help me decide.Whats the best looking color on a 2G??currently copper and purlpe (bleh), with grey interior.
i think im going to find a set of stock hinges. after some research i cant find anybody that likes their lambo doors. it seems that after a month they are just a pain in the ass.so how do you get to the hinges, does the fender have to come off? looks like they are pretty far in there.
i had the same problem with a faulty alarm system, until it wouldnt start at all. luckily it happened in front of an audio store and the guys new immediatley what to unhook.
ive seen a similar problem in big diesel trucks, when they warm up it opens up a hairline crack in the turbo and doesnt allow it to produce any boost. give your turbo a good visual check. and boost leak test!
i would also chase the vehicle speed sensor wiring. its working between vss and speedo but not vss and odo, the harness branches off somewhere and that could be your trouble area. i dont have schematics in front of me so i cant be more precise but a good visual inspection goes a long way.
could be a worn pulley ticking. one easy way to check is to spray the pulleys with wd40 or even soapy water while the engine is running. if the sound changes or goes away then your in the right place.
check the resistance in the clutch connector, check volts and amps to the clutch. hook up a set of manifold gauges and check you pressures. the refigerant might be low enough to perform poorly but not low enough cut off the low pressure switch.you could also use an external power source and...
because its at a specific speed i would guess its something rotating. check the balance on all your tires. check your wheel bearings, driveshaft and axleshafts. anything rotational and driveline.
this is one of the most interesting threads ive read on here. i live in vt where it gets pretty damn cold, ive never heard of tuning your car for the cold! i usually related cold starts, block heater and heating pads to diesel issues. thanks for the insight.
i bought my first eclipse recently and the only problem i have with the interior is that the airbag cover on the passenger side is peeling up and looks horrible. is this a common issue and an easy fix? i havent really looked at it yet but i was thinking id just pull it back into place and put...
i agree, thread sealant and new washers.as for rtv its all personal preference. for my shops i try to buy the higher temp sealants, usually red, it stands up to the underhood temps of my 18 wheelers.
i know a lot of people that have used a wiper switch as a push button start or under hood ignition switch for maintainance. its a cheap/easy alternative.
yes i realize i need a single plug, non-eprom ecm.my question was can i use any ecm for a '95 gs 2.0 n/t fed emission std trans?stangmurdera said i dont have to use the same p/n so i think im going to order the 5269622 from ebay.thanks everybody, i appreciate the input

ive been having a hard time finding the right ecm. so i called dodge with the chrysler part number and they gave me the current reman p/n which is r4874191. i crossed that to a bunch of ecm web sites and its right, its a 95 gs n/t 2.0 fed emission std trans...
i recently bought a 95 gs 2g with lambo doors. the door shocks are smoked and the doors wont stay up as soon as the temp drops below 50F.are the shocks all the same/universal? is there a brand that anyone recommends?thanks
i have a 95 gs 2g that wont start and after a week and a half of chasing wires and pin tests ive come to the conclusion that i need an ecm.does anybody recommend a certain company that sells the ecm for a fed spec, manual, 2.0L, nonturbo, fwd, build date 8/94?thanks
vermont engine service in williston is great. i had them do a bunch of work on a chevy 350. price was really reasonable. i know its a hike from springfield but worth it. theres also a place behind burlington airport that deals with heads, porter racing or something like that.
i can hear the fuel pump come on and reach back under the seat and feel it come on.theres no power to the coil from the asd relay and no ignition pulse at the coil.the red/white wire at the asd relay that grounds through the ecm is showing +12vthe cam sensor is only showing +5v with...
