Alright so after swapping coils the car is now firing on all 4 cylinders again. The only problem is my Timing. I haven't had time to set the CAS yet, but would it really make that much of a difference? The car wont start at all with the plugs plugged in as the link on the original post...

Yup, I have swapped wires too. Wires don't seem to be the problem at this point.

I should have added that I did a compression test. Cold results were 160's across the board. I also swapped out the plug wires while the car was running (swapped 2 and 3) and the problem followed tot he other cylinder.

Thanks guys for the responses but as it turns out I was able to grab one off Kijiji. Really good guy, owned these cars for ages had a freshly rebuilt Head with a set of nicer then stock cams for $120 with trading my head. Seems like it was a good deal and the head is super clean.

From what I can see the Pistons arnt that bad just some minor scratching. there is only one piston that actually has any kind of bur and its very minor. I have gotten ahold of a used complete head for $250. Is that a good deal. Its on a car atm that is running so it should be good to go.

I am pretty sure my timing is way off now. I believe the cam timing is right on but no compression at least on the first 2 cylinders.

Time to finally answer this really old thread. YES it was a boost leak. It was on the underside of the throttle body. New gasket fixed that problem. The car idles great, boosts great and run great. Thanks for all the help and I'm looking forward to tuning it up this summer.

Just realized that my thermostat is gone in the car. Would that be causing issues with it not idling once it is warm?

I checked the ISC and out all looked good except for I had to clean out the throttle body and adjust the Biss a little bit . One full turn and it brought down the rpm to about 750 to 800. But now it will idle properly while it its cold but when it warms up. It will slowly stall out

Does anyone have any solutions for installing a Turbo Primer? I have a 91 Galant VR-4 and I have heard that the first thing that will go on these is the turbo, as is it will be dry starting whenever I turn it over. Is this true or am I being over cautious?

So just spoke with the previous owner and he did do some messing around with the wiring on the harness and may have messed it up. So hopefully we can trace back where he made the mistake and fix it.
