check the fuel filter and fuel pressure at the rail, also check for any loose vacuum lines. Then go back and make sure the spark plug wires are seated properly. Did you notice any difference when you replaced the coil pack at all?
I would see 1200 being the most you would pay unless you found a cheaper independent shop or a local kid to do it that knows what they're doing. I'm sure gainsville is full of them :thumb:If I were you, I would just pull the head and replace the rods if bent and just have someone time it for...
Damn dont know where to start....electrical issue for sure, check alt and battery. All fuses, fuel injectors wont pump?? Is your fuel pump working? Timing marks lined up? Was the Ecu messed with? Seems like an easy fix...just go over the wires slowly and get a multimeter...
Well mine came back today...very annoying. It wasn't until I removed my sensors and put them back that it went away...leaning towards one of the sensors now. I'll be hitting the jy tomorrow
Seems a lot more efficient then that other method. I'll throw up a how to...should be fun ;)Also OP, check your oil level. Mine was low, after a change seems to have helped.
Tried searching, is there a benefit to swapping from a 95 ECU to a 98 sbecIII? Not looking for power, just thinking it would have better hardware/software? Iono....
Im still new to this sort of thing with dsms, but with my stratus all I had to do was mod an autostick in which came with most Chryslers. Why is it not an option to convert to autostick instead of this switch box? Seems a lot easier to use a shifter instead of the switches...i think ill have to...
I am kinda having the same issue, swapped my wiring to use a 98 tcm(not smart) then wired it back since it wouldnt work without more splixing...yadayada... Some reason after wiring it back, the limp mode hasnt come back. Usually mine sets in after a hard stop or pushing it until fuel cutoff...
420a (2.0L) is crap unless you don't have a budget....build the 2.4 imo. No the 420a will not bolt up. Could also swap a 4g63 head, club3g is a good place for info or 2gss.org
Man that's crazy, I just left u pull it on normandy they just got a turbo talon and eclipse, would have grabbed the turbos but that's not why I was there. Anywho, I know there is one guy in jax known for the DSM scene, forgot the name but I'm sure someone will chime in with the name. I wanna say...
1. Get that walbro installed. Might be a dumb question, but did you open the aeromotive to allow fuel to pass? and do you have a gauge on the regulator? If so, whats the pressure set to?
DUDE, what did you do?! that car was awesome.....LMAO, not really. This was a great conversion from rice to nice. Looks a million times better from the pos you started with. I would lose the side skirts (but thats just me). Hope they didnt ruin the engine. FREE CAR...I wish
Take out those injectors for one, fuel pump should be fine. Also double check your vacuum lines. If they had a wideband on is it still the same o2 or did you get a narrowband to replace it?Also with the SAFC did you *solder the wires back to stock?
I'd go to autozone to double check there are no codes. Some reason mine didnt have the lamp on but still had a code. But yeah... Sounds like a crank sensor. Not sure how to test it but that sounds like your issue. Check fuses and ground wire.
Sounds like it might be a lost ground connection. I would start there first and check all of the grounds in engine bay and console. Kinda odd some electric components work but not the others

St.nicholas, JaxHey everyone, I've been trolling on here for a little while now, just bought my first DSM a week ago. Originally I own a turbo stratus until it blew, reparing it now. I usually post on neons.org, but hope I can get more info on the dsm here.
Hey everyone, finally got around tax time and my car takes a crap on me (serp belt snapped and bolt holding it stripped. Buying a new motor and need help installing it. If anyone is interested let me know, going to the jy on the 9th to pick up a head and get it cleaned/ported.Of course I...
