gt4294 turbo I can get cheap and I know it's over kill for a stock 6bolt but what kind of spool time have you seen on a 4g63 with this turbo and what cams do you recommend to maximize the power output of this turbo I'm hoping to get into the 6's in the 1/8
If I can get full boost that fast that's what I'll go with I used to run a hx52 on my old lsx s10 and I really liked it but I had concerns about it being too laggy on a 4 cylinderIf I put a gt4592 in a .82 ar housing how much would that help the spool time
There's nothing wrong with that turbo but I've been rebuilding turbos for the past 5 years and probably rebuilt over a hundred mosty holsets a few garretts anyways its just a lot more cost effective for me to buy a used turbo and throw a $50 rebuild kit in it that is if I don't get one with...

Ok do you have a hx40 core that you would sell because I'm having trouble finding one for a decent price if I can't find one I will probably end up going with a hx52 then I will have a lag monster :(
That sucks I guess I'll put the 7cm hotside on the 14b and sell it and sell the 20g wheel and compressor cover and get a hx40 I wasn't happy with the 20g power anyways
Well my Ebay 20g didn't last a 100 miles it already has in and out play I thought it would last longer than that but I was running 28 psi so mabe that's part of it anyway can I use the 20 G compressor wheel and compressor housing on my 14b without having to machine the center cartridge
Running with out a iat is a bad idea if you don't have a really good intercooler in my opinion the more sensors that you can use to keep your setup safe the better
Yeah I gave a 1k for the car and have 1500 in parts so I dont think it did to bad but the stock 6 bolt is worn out it's got blow bye at idle so im gonna cam it and and try to build a 11to1 motor to try to max out the set up

It isn't that a hy35 is alot bigger it's just a 20g is a bad turbo to compare to others of similar size because it has the same exhaust wheel as a 14b so it chokes itself very easily so it's very hard to make power on
How are you gonna compare a 20g to a hy 35 your turbo flows way more lbs of air and your in a 9 cm hot side with a better flowing turbine wheel the 20gs choke at about 25 pounds of boost because of the small turbine wheel and 7 cm exhaust housing
Yea mine is doing good I ran it for two Weeks with the waste gate welded shut before I switch to a external wastegate it's made 32 psi with out any problems I thank I need some cams and a intake manifold to wake the setup up
Just wanted to post my Ebay 20g results mod list is 3 inch hood exit exhaust 26psi stock 200k 6bolt 750 injectors maxed out it slipped the clutch in first gear and the tune is rich like 10.5 at wot but it went 1.9 60 foot 5.4954 330 foot and 8.37 in the 1/8 at 86.61 mph

go with the hx 35 but go to a t3 the bep will choke the turbo with the t3 hotside you will make more hp per psi and 1000 cc should get you to 500whp :rocks:
