You should have one vacuum line running from the intake manifold to the bov. I believe the upper nipple. Then you should have a vacuum hose to recirculate your bov from the intake pipe to the big hole on the bov. More than likely you might be overboosting without some sort of boost control
Without a scan tool its a matter of trial and error. Though 2 turns from closed should do it but that can change depending on boost leaks etc.Give turning it a shot little by little and let the car adjust and check the idle, if its not where you want it to be keep tinkering with it.
The idle could be a couple of things, have you checked for any boost leaks? When is the last time you changed/check your plugs, ISC etc.As for the shifting to drive and not moving much, my automatic does the same on cold starts no idea if it is normal.
I believe in a different post you made someone had said one was the knock sensor and the other an emissions related plug made for california standards, are you still having problems?
1g bov will work just fine, if not better. Be sure to clog up those holes made from the current bov though.The flange itself is a 1g bov style but to put on the current bov the previous owner drilled 2 new holes into the flange. So while a new 1g bov will bolt right on, the 2 new holes...
The bov kind of looks like a greddy knock off. You should definitely recirculate though, just buy the correct size hose and run it from your intake to the big opening on the Bov. As for the turbo I can't say too inexperienced with that hehe. Should try and get a picture of the serial number...
If you ran the runs without letting the transmission fluid cool down then most likely something overheated, get it checked out, start fresh and if it still slips might have to replace some pieces or transmission as a whole
For the life of me I can't get the page to load -____- but the engines use the same belt. Car brand doesn't matter. The only reason the belt might cost more is it was made of a different material or brand that sold it at a higher cost.
I'd recommend 4G63 4G63T 2.0 16-Valve DOHC Timing Belt Mitsubishi and Hyundai PD has a good rep, I use the belt myself when I bought the timing belt package and have had no problems whatsoever. Price is pretty good too :D
After maintenance best bet is to get a boost gauge and a manual boost controller to get a feel as to what your car can put out stock. Then from there start upgrading depending on your HP goals. Set a goal and find the best way to get there on your budget :D

have you checked for any boost leaks? Does the engine sound airy during a rev? Could also be an exhaust leak. When my exhaust pipe had one I couldn't rev past 2.5k and I felt like I had no power.As for the crank is it a new battery or old one? Could be that or coil pack starter etc
Kind of sounds similar to what happens to me, if I gradually accelerate no problem but if I WOT and boost builds my car shakes and bogs. From what I heard last time could be a boost leak. Would make sense if its really fuel cut since its based on airflow.
