There's a thread here explaining two methods of MAF placement. Draw through, and blow through.OP has it in draw through position. Which is fine. Just needs to recirculate bov.Yea you can do that. That's my current set up. Use the translator to tune.
I didn't want to start a new thread, but when i bought my s16g, the wastegate actuator was leaking air really badly and the rod wouldn't move. So, i bout a new actuator meant for MHI turbos from Internal Wastegate 10 PSI MITS Style TD05 16G Actuator Mitsubishi and it says that it's good for...
I read this and the suggests threads that came up http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-electrical-wiring/432222-how-install-aem-uego-wideband-2g-turbo-place-stock-o2-sensor.htmlA while ago I bought a used AEM UEGO wideband that came off a Laser. It does have the wire to hook up to the...
Some similar searches came up but nothing like what I have. Mods are on my page. Each time I drive my car a little hard, stopping at 15psi on my s16g, my car will leak a good 3/4 liter of coolant after shutting the car off. I always take it easy on the car 1 mile before I shut it off so the...
Believe me guys, I've been searching for two months on this. I have even followed jack's transmission video, read that famous clutch adjustment website, watched Jafromobile's video, and read basically every thread on here about clutch adjustment. I've tinkered with it and I can't get it right...
Figured I'd use this thread to ask if anyone knows the full range to the OEM keyless entry? I found out the hard way my 2g GST has a factory alarm so I got lucky at the junkyard and found a factory fob inside the center console of a a 99 GS. I programmed it to my car and it works but to unlock...
No misfires/CEL light saying so. Maintenance is up to date also. That's great info though. Like I said though, I drive pretty carefully but I'm going to take it even further to see how much more gas I can save.I didn't diagnose with my car with anything because I never thought there was...
There is absolutely NO point in having ANY type of cold air intake, if it's sucking in warm air from the engine bay. That means, you're not gaining any horsepower at all. Even if you did manage a way to get COLD air sucked in, there's no way you'll gain 12 horsepower. A little, but not 12. Might...
I was informed by a man today that my current 1995 GST has something wrong with it because of it having 23mpg...that's one the best I've ever seen out of ANY boosted DSM so far! The only reason he told me that something is wrong with my car is because he "has had many Eclipses and managed to get...
Some random kid in my neighborhood driving an nasty Baretta stops at my house, catches me outside doing some landscaping and he asks me- "hey man, i always see your Eclipse around. What size is your exhaust?"
- "2.5" at the flex then 3" all the way out."
- "Nice man! Can I see under the...
I'm having the same issue. After 20 mins of city driving, it goes to 1500 to 2000 rpms and stays there. I loosened up the cable and it still does it. But if i drive on the highway for 15 minutes, then it's as if nothing happened. No boost leaks and my TPS reads .62 which is as close as I can get...
Rule of thumb is that you want that fork arm in the middle of the "fork hole" or a little towards the drivers side. Using standard washers to shim the pivot ball should help with that.
They show 14.3-14.5 at 11psi and I have BPR6ES plugs gapped at .28BUT, there's a wire from my wideband that connects to the front o2 sensor wire on the ecu. I had that connected, but then when I disconnected it, the car runs like nothing ever happened. But my afrs are still as they are.Yea...
I didn't have that wire hooked up. I did connect it and I did some tuning. Car's running better but still isn't perfect for me. Fuel cut at 11psi on stock turbo and injectors.
OP you're going the same route I'm going. Evo 9 injectors are 560cc and should cover you to 300hp. 190lph pump is perfect for you too without needing a regulator. Look at my thread "yellow brick road to 300hp" for more info on all the stuff you'll need. As far as an intercooler, I think you...
I picked up an old used greddy type s. sounds good but most importantly it holds boost well. I agree with those guys. It's just a sound. I understand its one i the main exciting characteristics of a turbocharged car, but be one of those guys that own a boosted car for the power, and not for the...
I can tell you it's possible. Everytime I test my car, I find no leaks. I always find leaks when I'm not testing, when I'm on the side of the road putting a coupler back on.
On the topic of windsheild wipers, is it common for the washer jets to freeze up with washer fluid when it gets really cold out? If its around 20 degrees and under, my jets don't shoot out fluid.
My car's manufactured date is April 1995. I am pretty sure that's after the EPROM ecu.Now I hate translators lol I wish I never spent $200 on this crap. No matter how much I "richen" or "lean out" there's no changes to the afr's. it wasn't doing this til I installed the wideband and I...
PM me so we can talk about that. This maft is pissing me off. I can't lean out my cruising afr's and I can't richen up WOT....everytime I'm in boost my timing gets pulled now.
Version 2.X Translator is set to 3.5" sensor. It runs better this way. I also have the 3rd pin switch up to richen up start up....which makes a cold engine 14.7. warm engine 14.3.Aux: 4
Base: 2
Idle: 2
Mid: 0
WOT: E or F I can't rememberMy car pulls like a Clydesdale with the WOT...
I looked at the similar threads first, and found nothing to what I am looking for.Anyway, I finally got smart and got myself an AEM UEGO wideband. I'm still on a stock turbo and injectors (til winter ends) and I'm tuning with a gm maf and maf translator. From what I understand, I'm...
I'd go with what all the other guys said: boost leak test. If you have leaks you will run rich everytime you hit boost and you're losing power that way.
I know this thread is old but I have the same problem, and it's really freakin annoying to lose synthetic oil this way.I changed my cap, and I'm using TWO oem gaskets and it STILL leaks. I tried tightening the clips via the screw but that did nothing.Any ideas on what can be done?
