I had a similiar issue with my 96 many years ago. When was the last time you did a leak test? I had a small crack in my lower coupler, and it caused irratic idle. It wasn't all the time, but after looking and looking I noticed that. Fixed the issue. Could start there.

My good friend has one, well, he has the Ion Redline. He does really well in the PA Autocrosses with it. Congrats, they are awesome cars.

I've never seen that before, my 96 TSi, 96 GSX, and my 99 GSX don't have that piece.. Weird.. I'm sure that it at some point goes into the door itself with those plastic screws..

I think I was paying $34 a month full coverage for the GSX, my STi is only 90 a month.

LOL, no shit. It is still all new construction, so no one has grass yet. I think I have one of the yards with more grass, and well, you can see how much I have. The houses behind my car still have big mounds of dirt in the front yards, and some of them still aren't done on the insides.
