I repair on my own a sever control arm and cv joint failure. I had to rebuild the whole front end control arms, drive shafts and now that i have it back together I have to put new hub bearings in so I have to tear in all back down again.Good luck.
I agree. Non Turbo engines can wear out sooner if turbo'ed Also there are different sensors that my not match up to connections that one engine has the the other one might not have.Hope that with luck and good engineering skills anything can happen.

After installing new Air Filter which was a bear The Piping clamps where not tight enough for the retuns on the airflow. It was falling falt on its face too. Once I found out the the tubing was loose I tighten them as much as possible and got my laggin thotle to respond.

1G Pully bolts have to match Power steering pump especially. I cold not find my original and went out to match it. It has to be a specifc length or it will never be tight enough. Luckly I found a 1991 Plymouth Laser and it matched.
Look for rust under the car. The outside may be prestine but you will soon find out working your DSM 1G especially Talons. No matter what heat blow torche or impact wrenches you use you will always have to metal sawsaw them and have to find the right bolts to match your repairs.
