Since all of you mention water and all othe hazards with vented hoods. How many performance cars are out there with vented hoods from factory? the Mitsubishi Evo 3-9 with no issues, the shelby series 1, the ford GT grantet the engine is in the rear but the radiator is in the front. weather there...
My car has broken on me so many times. I have a 1g and the factory tow hooks are two holes in the frame rails. and every time I need a tow they always have trouble trying to get the hook in the hole so a cleavis is nice to have. and its removable :thumb: but there isent any in the rear unfortanatly.
Acully you dont gain much from not runing a cat if anything you lose power. Also using a catback exhaust system you gain quite a bit of power over stock because your gainig more flow.
I know that if you have a 255 wally and a bad stock fuel pressure regulator it will run like crap and it will also make your injectors fail sooner. well thats what happened to me anyways.
If you want AWD and spend a crap load of money buy a wrecked evo8 or 9 and tear the drivetrain off it. Then you will have a 4g and awd plus the 290 hp.
Yea that extra fuel is dangours unless u have some way to tune the injectors down. Run rich and possibly wash the rings out or melt somthing. I personaly would get bigger injectors maybe a little bit bigger like 470cc but thats it. If you had the money get a waly 225,a set of 550cc...
I agree with both arguments but thats up to the OP not us. But I belive that the number one cause of engine failure is tunning when coming to turbo cars. Not the head gasket and an AFPR is always nice to have and somthing to upgrade further down the road. And there are videos on just about any...
Yea I would say 400 to 425 sound's about right for a decent shell. Thats what I did I had a 91 N/T 2.0L Talon and built the engine for turbo and bought a 92 tsi AWD talon with the 4 bolt rear end and went from there. Also the oil squirters aren't really necessary so use the oil for the crank...
After you replace your Head gasket and head bolts to ARP studs get a wide band O2 and air/fuel ratio gausge to be safe if u plane on running higher boost. its cheap for just the DD and safer to have one than not having one at all.
Have u checked your ignition controle module? Also have u checked the wiring for the coils them selves because the two that arent firing might have a bad ground. I had this same problem once and there was a gounding issue. It took some time to figure out
