I am installing a crank into my 95 Gsx. Its a revised block with the 3 piece thrust washers, I am following the procedure that says hold crank towards the front of the engine and hit the cap towards the rear. I have .003 feeler gauge in the rear side of thrust journal but none on the front side...
I am using excel with ecuflash and every time I try and bring up a file this is what I see. I know absolutely nothing about computer files, and I have no idea what this even says.
I was wondering if this would work, or be of any benefit. I was originally going to use stock rods and pistons and reuse the rod studs, but am becoming weary of doing that. My problem is that I already ordered the standard size acl bearings and they are not very cheap.
Sorry im a little late. But that is how mine is and I ordered the right bearings thank you for the pictures. Pictures help so much, another question I now have is how do the washers stay in place when putting the crank on?
I bought a long block the other day and I was wondering if there is a way to tell if the block is 2ga or 2gb. When i took the engine apart it had the 3piece thrust bearing in it but I was told it was from a 95. It has pretty considerable end play and the bearings just wiggled around. I just want...
Well it did the most damage to the crank its scrap but there's luckily no big scratches along the side that I can feel with my finger nail I don't think it ever spun.
i have a 95 gsx with the 7 bolt 2ga (2ga is with cam angle sensor behind the cam gear I believe?) I am going to be doing a complete overhaul and would like to know what main and rod oil clearances they have gotten away with. the engine did have crankwalk so I was also wondering anybody knew how...
The head has never been apart so I cant imagine them taking to much off he said the head wasent that tweaked. But yeah I see what your saying, I think that just a simple adjustment of the cam gears should do it and nothing was bent so it really cant be that much off. Thank you everyone for your help
No they shut eventually but alittle after maybe like a degree. I have adjustable cam gears and they r still on 0 and I have never touched them. Intake and exhaust r open
I had my head rebuilt at a local engine shop, and I have bc valves, springs, retainers, and 272 cams. They also clean, resurfaced, and reground the head. it was assembled there on the block. After so much rereading everything I knew, I got fed up with the car not responding to anything I tried...
I left my car in the garage with both windows open and had no problems even with spider webs. I also heard that putting a couple sheets of bounce fabric softener works good too.
I'll try getting a picture but im just telling him its kinda scetchy. He also tells us its a jdm motor and was put in. So i tell him he should probably look somewhere else
Well the thing is there is intercooler piping and an intercooler but its not on. It has new exhaust and manifold and also has oil return but i didnt see a oil feed. He is running it nonturboed atm and he drove it with the return line and air intake not even hooked up and claims he doesnt need a...
my friend is buying a 92 eclipse gs and the guy claims it is a turboed 4g63 but how can i no for sure the car is being sold without a turbo but it did have a turbo on it in the picture ...is there a difference between a turboed and nonturboed 4g? like internally and power related? THanksss
Fittings and braided lines would be a good idea to upgrade fuel leak is one of the worst things to have ..with the money yer putting into it it would suck to have it damaged by a fire
Couldn't have found this thread any sooner :thumb:
I am getting ready to buy a fp green setup and that's about $2500 why spend $1300 twice.. I definitely am getting my feed from the head balance shaft is also removed here
I have a 95 gsx mode are in profile its a full rebuild 9.1 compression and .020 over. When I first started it i ran it in open loop and I had it idling perfect and cruise around at 14.7 and it ran fine lean on decel and rich on accel. I was using a lot on gas so I tryed switching it to closed...
--- as in it locks on you? Mine used to do that if so then I might be to far back or its going into wideband lock up..cause I know those gauges are sensitive does it have a good ground?
Yeah there wired correctly there pulling air threw the radiator and to the engine .. and what would a headgasket do to make it overheat?Could the fact I'm not using shrouds be why its running hot?
Your probably all tired of hearing this ..but I'm starting to get confusedI have a 95 gsx fully rebuilt 020 over 9.1 compression I have a aluminium 3 row champion radiator and its hugeee in the car I have 2 slim fit fans full on by dsmlink, coolant and water mix, has heat shield, new...
I have a 95 gsx and it will start up fine closed loop 02 will cycle and I'm around 14.7 but as the engine runs the ratio goes leaner then maxes at 19.5 starts to stutter and I have to keep it running by the gas pedal ...does battery voltage at around 11.0 give injectors a problem?? I have...
