If you're willing to pay the price for it, ECM like version 3 is the best out there right now in my opinion, but it does cost about $500...its great for pretty much everything tuning-wise and its pretty good for beginners too, but if you have no idea what you're doing, i suggest taking it to a...
I've got a 98 GSX. I'm from Amarillo, and I'm in the military serving over seas right now. I'm coming home in December to do some engine mods and I'm looking for a good shop for tuning and/or AWD DYNO if possible...any suggestions? Please Help!
Man it all depends on what you want, how much is to be painted, and what kind/color/type of paint you're wanting. my dad owns an auto body shop and we completely changed my car from white to black. so this is going to take more research and information to get a good answer. it could be anywhere...
It shouldnt be to hard of a fix, depending on where it is exactly, any pics would help over none. bracing and tack or bead welding a small steel plate behind it will probably be your best option (you should practice on something else first). i couldnt tell exactly where you were describing, the...
you can find out if the filter is an oiled or dry filter by checking to see if it has a serial or part number on it and either try putting it into injen's website or google to find it. once you figure that out, clean it with water (slight pressure if possible) and normal soap, then let it sun or...
Amarillo, TX here! I'm USAF over seas and coming home on leave soon. Looking for anybody that wants to chill in December :) Hit me up!Also looking for a tuner and AWD DYNO if anybody knows of a good place! :)
I wasnt trying to boost anything. Actually, i was trying to help with the information i knew and more that i had found. If that information was incorrect, then i do apologize to the OP. However, that is no reason for you and others to be disrespectful, especially since you're a supporting member...

if youre wanting to replace the current one with yours, you have to remove the center plastic piece that covers the a/c controls, radio, and shifter. its not hard, just some clips, just be gentle. then the radio has 4 screws/bolts holding it in. remove, replace, and put it back together. it...
so then what was the point of posting on this thread? useless information.OP: i wondered the same question when i replaced my sunroof, i never got an answer for it, but i found that if you find a screw with a flatter head, or can get away with tightening or removing it, that works too. i...
sounds good to me man, but a '91 with nearly 200k miles you NEED to be sure everything is good on it before you trust it to much..get it FULLY checked out, all the general maintenance, fluids, belts, joints, etc.good luck and enjoy your DSM!
OP: this guy with the double sided rubber tape, the person with the middle bolt and the other with the clips are right, but PLEASE DO NOT use a pry bar! it probably WILL dent your trunk...go to any auto hobby shop or maybe even walmart or something and get a paint safe solvent to remove the...
I have a pretty nice budget to work with, im looking at dropping at least 5g's probably...give or take where possibleLike i said to begin with, the car is mostly stock. the only mods that i know of are:injen short ram 3" air intake

Hey everyone, im new to the site and im learning all i can. I have a 1998 Eclipse GSX and its 98% stock and im looking to upgrade it. i've got some cash and will have the time pretty soon, but i dont know which upgrade path i should follow, the 4G63t, road race, or drag race. I want it to still...
i like this, it's like the "if it aint broke dont fix it" quote. upgrading never hurts though. im my opinion though, spend the extra money if you can so you can get the more reliable parts.
Pirelli's for sure...i like all weather or all season tires on most cars...usually they give the most bang for your buck...figuratively speaking of course. unless your looking for more winter style being in Penn...im not to sure about that area.
Yeah i found that out pretty soon after i posted this thread, I'm still a noob to this site and didnt see that, plus i thought i couldn't post in the hangout, just in the newbies forum. Thanks though! :)
The color could be ok, along with the rear bumper and side skirts, but im not liking that front bumper of the body kit...it would be replaced in my book...but other than that, the car looks pretty clean. :)
for $100...thats not a lot of options, unless you get some floormats, a cheap shift knob, or may be some tint...but i definitely +1 on that guys beer, gas, and jerky suggestion!
i used to have neons, but they always took a crap on me, so definitely stick with LED's for interior and exterior lighting...just be sure you have a good protective cover for the bulbs and wires to prevent breaking, tearing, ripping, and especially fires...
you should see a change soon, but only if you have the 30 posts and 30 days...if you dont have the posts then it wont work...give it a day or two and it will change...
sounds like the computer needs to be updated or reset to accept the changes...the scanner or taking it to Autozone like the other guy said should work.
I agree with some of the others, i think the second is a little over priced, but im a GSX fan, i would go with that over other, but i would try to get the price lowered first...
