check out the camshaft and crank position sensors.. hopefully its not the ECU

make sure you try checking the wires connecting to the cluster the best that you can, there might be a short.. it is also possible that you may need a new computer, this is a problem on alot of the 420a

can you post a picture? I have never heard of this happening or have had this problem myself. Maybe you need to be a little more gentle on it haha

I would honestly only suggest painting the plastic insert pieces.. If you want your whole dashboard painted, making a fiberglass mold would be the way to go.. you can even find the dash covers for pretty cheap and they just need to be painted and pretty much go right on over your existing dash.
