sounds sort of like a problem I had with one of my first 1gs; I would check your ecu. Pull it out and see if there is any noticeable corrosion and check the caps.

low and mid mileage 05s and 06s are bringing in more than 16-17k.... you can find super high mileage evos for low teens, average id say is like 16-17...good examples bringing minimum 19k from 05-06

agreed. its going to be harder, longer, and more expensive to turbo this make that power the right way and make ir run good and reliable.i say keep this a regular old daily driver non turbo, and go start with something awd, or at least already turbo, unless you want to go the longer harder...
